Went here to taste some West Coast DimSum and we found this restaurant. The host was very attentive and pleasant. The dim sum menu lacked selections to my taste. Some of selections were unavailable. What we did order was good.

Went here for a group function. Location wise, it's a bit out of the way, being it's a couple of blocks from the main part of SF. That said, I felt walking there at night. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside - in fact, I never would have thought to eat there if I were there on... More

We're puzzled to order so we ordered a fried rice to our liking to share. We asked if we could have a fried rice with 'lap chong' or Chinese sausage, the waiter said yes. We also ordered a tofu and mushroom clear soup. Both the fried rice and soup were good. Service was fast. Reasonable price too.

It's conveniently located near my hotel and has good size portions of noodles. Egg tarts and honey buns with char siew are recommended by the chef so I ordered those. Not bad!

This place is so close from being a restaurant in maninland China, reminds so much of Chinese eateries. Place is opposite from being fancy. menus are a bit mistreated, overall looks not appealing but what the heck... Food is nice and pirces OK.

Taste is almost everything when it comes to dining. Setting is spacious. Service can rival the food. The eat in menu prices need updating since they don't coincide with the check unlike the take out menu. Check the menu since 15% was automatic even though service worth 20%. Restrooms are typically atrocious. Even though in need of restaurant facelift, believe... More

Drove into San Francisco last Sunday and decided to go for Dim Sum. Stopped at a corner and asked three young guys for directions to the nearest place. They said they were proceeding to the Canton Seafood & Dim Sum so we asked them to get into the car. The restaurant seems to have been in this location for a... More

If you have never tried dim sum and you are visiting San Francisco, this restaurant is a MUST. Our son and daughter had been there before and wanted to take us there when we all visited the city. It is hard to resist what the ladies have on their carts, but with few exceptions where taste not quality was the... More

I always seek out this place when I come to San Francisco. Absolute authentic food in somewhat drab surroundings. Strangely, these surroundings just add to the character of the place. I will continue to return here.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
