We had 7 dishes which included sweet/sour chicken, curried beef, squid, roast duck, noodles and bbq ribs. All the food was excellent and good size portions. The prices are reasonable and service was very quick.

We have been to a lot of restaurant in Chinatown, but this place is our favorite for their food. It is a family style restaurant frequent by Chinese patrons. Once in a while, you will see non-Chinese customers like ourselves. Been going there for over 10 years. Great tasting, genuine Chinese cooking, and very friendly staff. Reasonably priced and great... Went for a banquet dinner with family & friends. The food, portions and prices are very solid. Exception of the gai lan & abalone dish; the abalone, while sliced thin enough was in rather large pieces, the gai lan as well, which made it a little awkward with chopsticks. The flounder/sole was quite excellent, as were the BBQ dishes. They offer... More

I can't tell you how the food tastes. The waiter would not bother to ask if the food I'm allergic to was in the dish I ordered so I got up and left.

Very rare to find goose meat and Yee's delivers a jumbo sized portion for under 9 bucks. Great value and better taste. Not for the food snob but perfect for a meat lover. Great over noodles. Great roasted look and taste did not disappoint.

This is a classic, old-school San Francisco Chinatown eatery and that’s what we were searching for. With the assistance of Yan a lovely old Asian man just walking by and who overheard our conversation, he led us to this restaurant. Yan (a retired school teacher) advised the restaurant has been around for years and caters for locals and the knowledgeable... More

In the heart of Chinatown, definitely not a touristy place. Clearly frequented by residents of the area, and super busy! Friendly service, menu a bit intimidating if you're not familiar with this type of cuisine. Did the "lunch combo" and was so much food we felt bad for leaving so much but couldn't eat it all!

Forget the ambience and the mediocre service. Food here is exceptionally delicious. We ate here twice while vacationing in San Francisco. And also, the price is unbelievably pretty inexpensive. Highly recommended.

When looking for a great Chinese experience, it is cool to find a place with only a few (if any) long-noses in there. Yee's restaurant is one of them. Family style cooking at its best. Cash only.
