Always on the lookout for freshly prepared, authentic recipes, my friend and I accidentally discovered Walzwerk on one of our evening walks. After a little research, we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. We were greeted with a smile, tasty amuse...More

This is probably the best German food we've had anywhere - including in Germany. The rinderroulade was outstanding and the spatzle was memorable. Nice small selection of German beers and friendly service. Very reasonable prices for SF!

One of my favorite German restaurants in SF. I love that it has an old school vibe not common to most of the other German places in SF, and there are a lot of vegetarian options. I always get the spatzel, and it is the...More

This place looks very uninteresting from the outside and it is very small but the staff are great and the food was spectacular and very reasonably priced especially for San Francisco.

We came here as part of our German restaurant weekend for Oma's 70th birthday. She was so incredibly happy at her excellent food. She said she was full and still ate a bite of every German Christmas cookie we got from the dessert specials. Everyone...More
