Always enjoy tea and almond cookies while sitting and view the grounds. Very restful. Grounds are immaculate.

We enjoyed sitting for a few minutes & eating green tea ice cream. The staff were very friendly & you can't beat the environment.

We really felt transported back to a little British tea shop. It was beautifully decorated with lots of teapots and teacups and even had hats that you play dress up for tea so you felt like Downton Abbey!!! The tea was amazing and the food spread was divine. The sandwiches were tasty and so were the scones. I loved the... More

My best friend hosted a Bridal shower for me and she picked this teahouse. I must say, I am very impressed with the whole venue. Its perfect to host a small party or get together because the ambiance is very warm and cozy. I like the food that they serve. Little bites of sandwiches and pastries and fruits. We're 8... More

When my son called to reserve he was told only at 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. That meant my husband and I getting up at 5:30 a.m., drive 2 hours to BART, deposit luggage and cab to tea room. We were there at 11 a.m. until 12:30-the place was empty except one table. That was ridiculous! We could have easily... More

I was here earlier today with a group of 8 for my sister's baby shower and everything was great! The service was amazing-- helpful, but not overbearing. I was worried because everyone was late because of the lack of parking around the tea house, but they served us as we came in and made sure that we were comfortable. The... More

My wife and I visited this establishment for the first time on Valentine's day. We had reservations, but did not need them. The server said that reservations are recommended on weekends, but not weekdays. We weren't sure what to order, so we ordered the $21.95 entree, which included 6 different mini sandwiches, a scone, and a plate full of different... More

My 5 year old daughter loves her afternoon tea, and this one was no exception. The shabby chic decor was really cute, and my daughter loved the hats that were available for sale there. I thought the actual food was mediocre, but I'd probably go back because the space is so cute. Read my full experience there on my personal... More

I visited The Secret Garden with two tea-loving friends on a recent trip to San Francisco. First things first: this is a busy area and parking is difficult, so definitely allow extra time for that. Reservations are highly recommended. The space is small, and when we arrived we encountered an annoyed family who apparently thought they'd get a quick table... More

I recently had an afternoon high tea with a friend at the Secret Garden Tea House in San Francisco. This charming little spot has been here on Lincoln Way in the Inner Sunset for 10 years, yet I've passed it many times without knowing. That's because the street it's on is a very busy artery taking commuters to their workplaces... More
