We were unfortunately staying in the "hotel" with the same name as this restaurant, so this was convenient for us to try. We were having a late dinner (8:00pm), and the place was busy but we did not have to wait. Bottom line is that the bar is good, the restaurant is great, the food was delicious.

Our first night in San Francisco we wandered area and chose this restaurant - great choice too! Mushroom soup was extraordinary while macaroni with 4 cheeses was hot savory blend of flavours and a sizeable portion. The baby iceberg wedge salad far exceeded its description. Atmosphere was relaxed, service friendly and noise level balanced so highly recommended

I had a wonderful Pork Chop Dinner, everything was excellent ! We had an order of sliders as our appetizer, my daughter ordered the Asian Pear Salad and my granddaughter ordered the spinach & kale and the horseradish shrimp. All food was very good and service was wonderful, we felt at home at the Sleep Over Sauce !!

I ate dinner at "sauce, drink. eat. sleep" and it was awesome! The service was very friendly and answerd every question we had. We started with a delicious corn, tomatoe and onion salad. For the entree I enjoyed a Baised beef short rib with a garlic& white wine sauce, spinach and Yukon gold scalloped potato. It was out of this... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighbourhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
