I got takeaway from here a few times when I was in a rush and needed to grab something quickly. A great range of options to choose from and I liked that I could choose as much or as little as I wanted and the cost was based on weight.

Ok, so to be honest I don't really 'do' buffets, but came to this place with a colleague and what a pleasant surprise it was. Such an array of options (particularly liked the salmon sashimi and avocado salad). You just work your way down the buffet and weigh it all at the end. As mentioned by another reviewer, the higher... There is probably a reason there is rarely a long line at this place. The food is not bad, and for the most part looks and tastes fresh. There are lots of choices. The flavor is nothing spectacular and rather average. Probably the biggest warning would be that the cost is very high. I have been surprised with a $25-30... More

We found this place by asking a fellow passenger n an elevator, who recommended it highly. There are plenty of choices for protein eaters (lean beef, turkey) as well as vegetarians..Includes sushi and spring rolls (which are the only item I would pass on next time. Great kale dishes.Since we have to be in this neighborhood occasionally, we'll plan our... More

First off --- I went to Julie's Kitchen at 50 Fremont --- there are now two of these buffet outlets....one on Montgomery and one on Fremont. Positives: good service, clean, fresh (tasty) food, plenty of seating, sunny Downside: at $9.99 per pound you will be spending about $15 to $20 for lunch So the typical salad buffet rarely serves good... We stumbled across this gem while exploring around our hotel (Omni). If you like asian food, you will be very happy here, but there are also plenty of other dishes. It is pay by the pound, so you can mix whatever you want. The sushi was amazing (stuff I had never seen before) and everything else was super fresh. If... More

This restaurant is around the corner from my company's new office in San Francisco. I stopped in for lunch based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Julie's charges $9.95 per pound. There are some excellent selections on the menu, including fresh mozzarella with sliced tomatoes, Reggiano cheese, shrimp with avocado, various vegetables, sushi, roast beef, turkey, salmon and various other... Julie's Kitchen is located in the Financial District in San Francisco. It's one of my favorite places to go for lunch time. It is buffet style and has excellent Sushi and other Asian dishes: noodles, tofu, spare ribs, etc. Everything is always fresh, Sushi is always so delicious. This is a great option if you are visiting the city and... More

I work in San Francisco on Thursday during the tourist season. I look forward to those days because I always go to Julie's Kitchen for lunch. There is an avacado & shrimp salad that makes my mouth drool. Love the sushi (careful. They charge by the pound) I can usually get out of there for about $10.00. I really don't... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
