I visited this place twice cause the food was really good and the prices normal for USA. Try the American special breakfast with ham and the carrot cake.

We had a great impromptu dinner at the Grove!! Definitely the friendliest staff we encountered at any restaurant in San Francisco! There were lots of options for both me as a vegetarian and my husband who enjoys meat. I don't normally go for salads but was happy with my delicious Berkeley bowl! I loved the lavender lemonade! The atmosphere was... More

Sunday morning - 10 AM. BREAKFAST at The Grove in San Fransisco. I'm not sure when you must get here to avoid the long line, but if you have the time, it's worth the wait. The omelettes are great. The hash browns are slightly different but good. Outside seating is available. Check it out!

This is the first restaurant I haven't given 5 stars to in SF. Maybe because I have had such other good food. The place is awesome and the service was spectacular! Very friendly people everywhere! The fresh squeezed OJ was perfect and the coffee was good. Our food was presented beautifully as well, but the taste was lacking. My wife's... More

Loved my brunch on my first visit in SFO! The breakfast sandwich was delicious and fresh, the service was fast despite the line out the door. My only complaint is that my bloody mary tasted more like it had water in it instead of vodka.

First day breakfast was breakfast burrito and French toast. Hubby and I split and we were both stuffed. Both excellent! Second day I got the French toast and paid extra for carmalized bananas. They were super sweet, would pass again on them. Got a cafe mocha and it was the best we had. Customer service was awesome. We were asked... More

Grove serves great helpings of sandwiches and salads in a bustling atmosphere. Gret value for the price and good tasting food. I had the pastrami and loved it; my wife a salad that was equally well received. There an element of serve yourself for water and the wait staff weaves among tables looking for your order number. Seats near the... More

The Grove is great for breakfast at a reasonable price. My oatmeal was tasty & came with maple syrup, almonds, cranberries & a few fresh raspberries. Good coffee.

We had passed by this restaurant a few times and always saw the lines out the door onto the street. One morning we decided to try it for breakfast. The line was only just outside their doors so we figured it would not take long. Anyone can sit at any table at any time. If you are at least 2... More

We visited the Grove for a breakfast with 2 teenage kids. The kids are still talking about the cinnamon roll bread pudding (really). My wife and I had a couple breakfast burritos and I thought they were excellent. Overall this place was a great breakfast launch into a full day of touring San Fransisco. I know if I lived in... Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
