Food is mediocre. Chicken kabob is the only item that is good enough on that menu. The rest isn't even close to Persian food. We went back just to give it another shot and we had the worst unwelcoming experience as we had kids with us they didn't want us there. They couldn't wait to turn us around. If you... More

On a recent visit to San Francisco my husband and I thought of trying this popular Persian restaurant. Not being very familiar with this cuisine, our choice of dishes leaned towards the cautious -- kebabs, lentil soup, and fesenjan. They were well prepared. The restaurant serves what they call "lavash" bread -- very thin square bread. It was disappointing as... More

Made reservations. Were seated on time upon arrival. Service was prompt, courteous, and professional. Food was sooooo tasty and well prepared with decent presentation. All three of us in the family were extremely satisfied with our food!

This is the second time I've been to Lavash. Both times I went there early in the evening (about 5:30 to 6pm) without a reservation. However, they do encourage you to have a reservation. They are a little bit crazy about it. The food is very good and they are small. I recommend getting one of the dinners for two.... More

Extremely fresh starter salad (tomato, cucumber, goat cheese with basil, mint and cilantro). Use lots of sumac. Moist chicken, great beef/lamb kabobs and lamb chops. Saffron Rice was excellent.

Two of us had never had Persian food before and our friends took us here because they said it was the best. They were correct. We fell in love with the food, the spice, the ambiance and the friendly service. I couldn't tell you what we ate, because we let other people order for us, but everything we had was... More

Very disappointed with our meals at Lavash . Food was just not very tasty. Service was very good but Lavash did not live up to its reviews.

Lavash was wonderful. We walked down from the hospital to have a late lunch and they found us a table for 4. The menu is extensive and decisions were difficult with all the offerings. We chose the Try it All, Sabzi Panir (which was wonderful with the cheese, nuts, fresh greens and grapes) and two kinds of yogurts. The smooth... More
