We chose Tuba based on Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. We were a party of 7, and each of us tried something different and loved what they ordered. The wait staff was very attentive and the service was excellent. Though we were not planning to order dessert , the waiter heard us drinking a toast to my MIL... More

Best Turkish / Mediterranean food in San Francisco! Good quality great menu I would recommend the hot and cold mezes and the dolma - grape leaves stuffed with rice, pine nuts and currants. so very tasty. Good service

Nice location on reasonably quiet street. If you're lucky you may find parking on the street right outside the door (we did)! The appetizers were great. Try the combo plate. Also the icli kifteh (like kibbeh) was very tasty. The complimentary bread was fresh and great. The main courses we tried were great. Names were all in Turkish so can't... More

The food, service and interpretation of the food we ordered was terrific. My husband and I had been to Turkey and experienced amazing food in every city we visited. We experienced it once again at Tuba (beautiful Lady) the other evening. Enjoy the warm and intimate Tuba as soon as you can. Thank you for being there when our Turkish... More

Get a reservation. We always try to find something different. This is it. The food is well prepared and very good. This was our first time having Turkish and we loved it. We'll go back.

After reading the many excellent reviews, I booked a table for two prior to my trip to San Francisco earlier this month. My father was born in Istanbul, and I grew up on Middle Eastern food in the home and have since made many Turkish dishes at home. We ordered the meze platter. The dolma..which we also call yalanchi...was only... More

first experience with Turkish food and it was fantastic. 2-3 blocks from the 24th/mission bart station. felt a bit silly with our 6:15 reservation as we were the first ones there but by 7 pm there was a line out the door. food was creative, really delish and we were stuffed when we left. had the Cevizli Ezme (a touch... To meet friends from the East Bay and South Bay, we picked Tuba. Not a big menu and not repetitive of other Turkish popular restaurants. Good flavors and interesting choices. Good Turkish wines and they are good about letting you taste first. The salad which is like a Greek Salad only more tasteful was huge. We really enjoyed the meal.... More

This place was spot on from the moment we walked in, we were greeted, immediately, seated and offered wine. The server, who was so helpful with choosing a glass of wine, brought me tastes.(HE OFFERED TO BRING ME TASTES!!) He was friendly and not at all condescending when we struggled with the pronunciation of menu items.( let's face it, service... More

The food and service here was outstanding. Best dolmas I've ever had in my life. I ordered a Turkish tea at the end: I won't ruin the surprise, but you should do it. We ordered a little bit of everything, and the shrimp appetizer was probably our favorite. We were a table of 2, but saw several groups having a... More
