Chinatown is a tourist trap but not an entirely unpleasant diversion. The restaurants offer mostly Chinese food, but one can find Vietnamese and Thai food too. After an early morning event, I found myself hungry for my old mainstay Noodle Soup. I visited the Grant Place Restaurant for the first time and will be back again. While not a tea... More

It was 10 a.m most other restaurants in Chinatown were still closed. Not only were they opened early but the food was good. This is not a fancy elegant dining experience, we were looking for old school NY Chinatown type eats to bring us back to our childhood and that's what we got!. Great to have an old fashioned hot... We walked and walked the streets of Chinatown looking for an authentic place for lunch. When we saw all the ducks and pork ribs hanging in the window of the Grant Place Restaurant, we knew we had to eat there, and the ensuing experience confirmed our choice. Inside, the restaurant was bustling with families and servers. The lunch specials were... More

Stopped here while on a Segway tour. Great DIM SUM at a good price, you won't be disappointed. Local PD was in there eating so another solid endorsement!

Food was okay but service was terrible. Hot tea was basically hot water. They won't take a credit card under $25. I won't go there again.

We went to this restaurant after a long walk up Mason when we were very tired. It was busy and looked lively so thought it would be OK. Service was quick, but the dishes were warm and wet, which was very off putting. We went for one of the set meals, the starter of Vegetable Spring rolls were lukewarm, although... More

I will have to admit this was our first attempt at dim sum anywhere as it was our first time to Chinatown. We had asked a shop owner where to get decent dim sum down the street from here, but she couldn't recommend anywhere- we were walking up the hill when a woman approached us with the menu. We walked... More

We stopped in for lunch while we were spending the afternoon in Chinatown, as it looked about like every other restaurant along the way, a bit lackluster. But we had the general tso's chicken, and it was delicious! Our waitress wasn't overly friendly, but she got the job done. And the prices were reasonable, so really no complaints!

The duck in this restaurant is amazing. I eat it every time I go to Chinatown. The restaurant is simple and the service is average. So I just get the duck to go. 14 bucks for a half duck chopped up or 27 for the whole duck. Never ate anything else there - just the duck The one time I... More

We left the nasty gross Chinatown restaurant which was across the street and we're trying to find somewhere else to eat. This was nearby and the prices didn't seem inflated. Lots of tasty looking poultry and meats hanging in the window. We were seated quickly and a pot of tea was placed on the table without us ordering it which... More
