Picked this one without much advance research, and couldn't have been happier. It's a smaller venue, but the food was outstanding and the owner and wait staff were top notch. We had to eat at the bar, because I think reservations are normally required, due to the limited number of tables. Nevertheless, the accommodations were comfortable and made for an... More

We had my husband's birthday dinner here and everyone was very happy with the food, wine, and service we received! Our server was fantastic- on top of all of our requests, accommodated our food allergies, and handled a large, gregarious group so well! Tips: I called and made a reservation about 2 weeks in advance. I also called a few... More

Deep dish Chicago style pizza is to "die for." The salads are huge. We got two salads for 6 people. The warm spinach dip is a must! Service is excellent. This was our second visit and won't be our last!

We sat by a window looking out towards North Beach, great people watching. The waiter was friendly, and very attentive to our menu questions. I ordered the shrimp with pasta, I was happy with my choice. My friend ordered the lasagna, it was so deliciously perfect. It came to our table still bubbling, and the smell was divine. The entrees... More

Hospitality was absolutely amazing! The waiter and the gm were great, she even gave us complimentary deserts because it was our first visit. We ordered the boss hog and pepperoni deep dished and some salsas and meatball grinders and boy were they good. Full flavor bold and delicious. Even had a Chicago buddy elaborate on the pizza and he said,... More

Wife and I enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner at Capo's in North Beach area of San Francisco. Caroline, the manager, was exceptionally nice and helpful. The wait staff was very friendly too! The decor of the restaurant was magnificent! From the antique cash register to a functional phone booth, you can tell the owners really put a lot of effort and... More

We were eating at scomas and we heard about the place, wow, great find. It's owned by Tony of Tony's right down the street. This place has a small cozy feel, Chicago style pizza ( outstanding) great bar, friendly staff. This will be a must visit on future stays

Thank Bill P

Celebrating classic Chicago-style cuisine with an emphasis on authenticity and quality of ingredients, the menu dishes up favorites like true Chicago-style pizza served on four types of crust: Deep Dish, Cast Iron Pan, Stuffed, and Cracker Thin. Each style is made with Ceresota Flour from one of the oldest mills in Chicago. Capo’s signature dish is marked by the Quattro Forni pizza, taking Gemignani’s World Pizza Championship winning dish, the Tre Forni, to the next level by cooking it four different times as opposed to three; and is limited to 10 per day due to extensive specialized preparations. House specialties include the house-made calabrese and sweet fennel sausages served in a variety of dishes like the the House-Made Honey and Calabrese; and The Outfit “Antipasti Platter” with assorted Italian deli meats hand sliced daily on the antique slicer in the restaurant. Wood-fired baked pastas include Conchiglie and Mostaccioli; other retro classics are highlighted by Chicken Vesuvio with a classic sauce of white wine, garlic, lemon and peas.
