Be prepared to wait for a table- but definitely worth it! Get a coffee & stand outside chatting with the locals- we waited about 40 minutes & the time flew by! The menu is great- we all ordered differently- mine was eggs benedict with crab & avocado, but I could have eaten anything to be honest! My daughter ordered truffle... More

We arrived just before the kitchen started cooking for breakfast, but the server explained it would be starting in 15 mins and invited us to have coffee while we waited - great, relaxed atmosphere. Stylishly understated rather than painfully hip. Breakfast (eggs benedict, French toast) was delicious.

I met a friend here, I was acknowledge on the fact that we may have to line-up before having a seat, but it took just few minutes. The place is nice, especially on weekends, the service is good, the food is really good.

On a recent trip to San Francisco we followed a suggestion to eat at Mission Beach Cafe. Heard about the chef, Gerome, and wanted to try. When our reservations were made it was conveyed we liked fish so that evening not only was there halibut, but the staff as well as Chef Gerome remembered that detail. The wait staff on hand... More

This neighborhood blessing is famous for brunch but breakfast bakery treats and dinner are similarly fantastic. We have a "don't want to cook" treat dinner here about every six weeks and enjoy it every time. The owner, Bill, cares intensely about the quality - from every piece of furniture to every meal. There's everything from a fantastic gourmet burger to... More

Had reservation, with deposit. Walked into a restaurant that was laughably behind in the kitchen and mismanaged. Initially spoke to several wait staff and then promptly ignored for 30+ minutes. Also, tables around us were left with empty plates between courses for the entire time. Food may have been great but amateur help didn't make up for it. Thanks!

What a great place to have some good eggs benedict and frech toasts in a saturday. Besides the long line, the service is super efficient and the cappucino is a reward after all. Super good choice

A very cool and cosy place for breakfast, brunch and coffee. Great food and location. I recommend going. (It can get busy - avoid rush hour, weekends, lunch times, etc. you know the drill)

Great service! Granted the decor is a little tired and furniture well past its prime, but the food is great -- original, but very San Francisco menu items. Delicious brunch selections. Always a line, so glad to finally experience this place.
