I tried this place twice during a recent stay in the Embarcadero area. The good parts of my visits were super-friendly staff and quick service. But the food had a processed and bland taste. Had a feeling my shrimp and chicken were zapped in a microwave. OK in a pinch, but disappointing.

If you like Rubio's, this is no different. All the same stuff. I love the Mango Iced Tea, and in the city, it's hard to find iced tea when I'm traveling. Good service, food was hot, and correct. Great location next to tons of shopping options in the Embarcadero.

I really enjoyed this place. I got a great meal and it was reasonably priced. the place was clean and comfortable. it did take a while for my friends plate to arrive--I think because it was seafood. They also forgot to put the guacamole on my tacos, but the food was so tasty that I didn't even realize it until... More

All Rubios has great Mexican seafood at great prices. What makes this place stand out is the location. This is the best Mexican seafood you can get at the embarcadero at reasonable prices. Parking validated for the underground garages at Embarcadero. But, the place closes early - 8 pm.

We had tried to get a place to eat at the Harbour but there were queues/lines at every place so we wondered inland and found this place. It looked pretty basic but we were hungry - so glad we took the plunge! It is a cheap and cheerful set-up but our food - sea bass with lime and chilli sauce... More

For the price this is a real winner. Freshly cooked fish tacos is for me the ultimate fast food. Healthy and tasty. It's a no brainier. Any trip to SoCal is not complete without a trip to Rubios.

This was our first day in San Francisco and we were looking for a nice cosy vegetarian place for lunch. This place is right in the Financial district and one of our friend suggested this place. We highly recommend this place. We ordered One Veg Bowl, which was highly recommended and very healthy. We also ordered there mexican enchiladas(veg), Nachos,... More

Mostly famous for Fish Tacos but haven't tried yet. Tried the California chicken Bowl and enchiladas and they were very nice and for fresh. There is a bar for all types of sauces which is good. The waiting time is a little long.

I generally order my food to go. The black beans are very good; I also enjoy the tacos, especially the chicken ones. Great value.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
