Went here recently with some friends and walked out full and happy. It's all craft beers, no Budweiser or Millers, and the food is local and tasty. The prices are a little high but not out of hand considering you're in the heart of the city. Most of us had the burger and none of us regretted our decision. Definitely... More

Outstanding burger. So juicy, and together with the golden crispy fries, that's one of the best burger I've had so far in SF. I thanked Chuck, my friend in LA, recommending this pub for me. Also the huge selection of beers, I had to turn some pages to see them all on the list. If I were to be stuck... More

We got a late reservation on Halloween. The area isn't the best, especially with the "crazies" out to party. But this place was a gem. It is tiny but somehow they manage to pack in a ridiculous number of domestic and foreign craft beers. The burger was excellent, aided by the bacon add-on, and accompanied by some very good fries.... I was invited to this bar with some business colleagues. I doubt I would have even known about this place otherwise. So glad I went. This is a great little bar. The beer selection is great and the food was amazing. They made several items to pass around for the guests of the party and they were all amazing. Crab... More

Good food and beer selection, but overpriced especially for the crappy neighborhood it is in. Great beer selection, but even the beers are overpriced.

Really good pub in the heart of the Mission. Quite popular so be prepared to wait, but worth it. Excellent beer selection, good vibe and good food. Great to see the bartenders really taking their time serving the beer properly.

This is simply the best Gastro Pub in San Francisco... what an amazing beer selection! The folks are knowledgeable, helpful and NOT pretentious! You may come for the beer, but the food will amaze you. The selection is awesome and everything I have eaten was delicious! They have one of the top burgers in all of SF. The place is... More

Four of us had 8 different beers. All were great. Menu is limited however our 4 different entrees were all enjoyed. Not very big so either arrive early or prepare to wait. Afterwards walk around the block for ice cream at Bi-Rite. Watch the fog roll in over the peninsula.

After a visit to the Dolores Mission we found ourselves at the Mon's Kettle for dinner. We ordered the cornmeal friend oysters and the corned beef hash croquettes as apps and both were delicious. The husband ordered the burger and we both agreed it was probably the best burger we'd ever eaten. I ordered the Monk's Daily roast which was... More

Staying in Mission District

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the country.
