Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have enjoyed the seafood from Burke's since they opened when we lived a stone's throw away and have always found Dick & his staff to be friendly and accommodating. They serve the freshest food available. Their haddock is our favorite Friday dinner. Their seafood...chowder is in a class of its own. Sadly, we have relocated out of Massachusetts but, continue to make it back to see Dick & his friendly staff, when we return to New England every spring & before heading south in the fall.More

Lunch here with family. Small dining room and fish market. (Fish in case looked beautiful.) Informal - order in store & food brought to table. Haddock & chips was enormous - two large pieces of fish & plenty of fries. Light, crispy batter. Broiled swordfish...(gluten free) also delicious, as were the scallops. After many summers in Nova Scotia, I "know my fish" - and this was off-the-boat fresh - sweet, flakey, none of that "fishy" smell or after taste. Plus the waitresses and chef couldn't be friendlier or more welcoming. WE WILL BE BACK! (We forgot to order onion rings, but we saw an order come out & they looked fabulous.)More

Burke’s seafood always has fresh, high quality seafood. I have been a customer there, for many years, and have never been disappointed. This year, with the pandemic all around us, they did not disappoint. Their curbside service was timely and efficient.

My wife went for a late lunch/early dinner. We started with Lobster bisque and clam chowder. My wife had scallops and I got the swordfish special. Both dishes were great and the bisque and chowder were very tasty...Great local place to visit highly recommend

Burke's Seafood has been in Quincy for many years. It has many types of fresh seafood to buy to take home to cook for a meal. You can also buy cooked seafood fish plates .

Delicious, homey spot for seafood. Very accommodating with young child. Best meal I had in the area, and wish I was local to take fish home to cook, too!

We visit Boston a few times a year and always crave seafood especially fried clams. My husband's from here and I'm not sure why he hasn't been here before but this place is amazing. It's a small family run fish market with a relaxed vibe....They are very friendly and the food's so fresh. We had fried clams and calamari which were lightly breaded, fried to perfection and tender. Also tried the clam chowder--really good. Unfortunately they are closed Sunday and Monday. We will make sure to go back before we leave to try the lobster roll. I'm so excited to go back hereMore

We have walked by Burke's a million times but never tried it. Small dining area but worth the wait for a table. Two giant pieces of schrod come with the fish and chips dinner. Food came out fast and piping hot from the kitchen. Friendly...people working there. Burke's may be our new go-to for seafood. Bonus- they are open all year, unlike the other two local seafood shops.More

We dropped by with the kids looking for an alternative to The Clam Box or Tony's. This place more than fit the bill. The dining room is small but, they do a good pick up business. So next time we'll call in our order and...take it to the beach!!! Food was very good. It's not the cheapest but Burke's is more than competitive to TCB and Tony's. The folks are nice and it has a cool hole in the wall feel.More

Last night I stopped to pick up a dozen oysters.....$18.99 for 12..... The place was packed....$8.99 special on live lobsters...any size.... I'll go more often......I was hoping that oysters from a fish store and not a restaurant were less than $3 each.....the same as all...the restaurants..... However....when larger lobsters are on special.....it will save me a trip to Neptune Nautical Mile Fish Market in Hanover....where they sell their lobsters....the larger the lobster....the cheaper per pound. You want a 12 pounder?.....Nautical Mile is the place to go....a restaurant supplier.More

I stumbled in to the place with my elderly parents. The owners/staff were warm & welcoming & helpful to the first timers. Our lunches were all fabulous. Fresh, tasty and prepared exquisitely. The dining area is small & dated but clean as a whistle. We...will be back!More

Driving to Boston, I didn’t want to get stuck at the airport without one last crab cake meal. I saw a turnoff for Quincy and took it. I ended up at Burke’s Seafood. A couple of times circling the block and I landed a parking...space a half block away. The owners are friendly and helped me select my end of vacation meal. I had clam chowder and crab cakes. The clam chowder was tasty. The crab cakes were huge with big chunks of crab and so good. You can’t go wrong here!More
