We were coming from a long trip from the White Mountains so were looking for a spot in Bar Harbor that had kichen open until late and since we are always looking for some good beer to go with our food the Finback Alehouse seemed to be a pretty obvious choice. Overall we have been really satisfied with our choice,... More

This was our first restaurant experience at Bar Harbor. We sat at the bar and had a very rude bartender. When my boyfriend asked him what he has for non-alcoholic drinks, he replied with "Pepsi". My boyfriend said something along the lines of.."and what else" and the bartender, with an attitude, said "Pepsi products." Clearly he wanted an answer such... More

Took a quick trip to Bar Harbor solo. There was not much open for restaurants. I tried Finback for lunch. There was one waiter, Steve, he did a good job taking care of the 6-8 tables he had going. I had the pulled pork sandwich. I know it's a seafood town. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent just the right... More

We were here on a cruise and had time to kill before going back to the ship. We'd been to another spot on the main drag that seemed a little weary of tourists, so we searched for something else. The Finback Alehouse was welcoming. Glad we were able to enjoy a brew here.

Had to try some Maine Lobster while visiting. My meal was good, service friendly and prompt. No complaints.

We went to this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. We had gone there for seafood, but the star of our night was poutine -- unsurpassed, even in our travels to Canada. I had clam chowder, which was a sizable bowl but of nondescript flavor. My wife had lobster mac 'n' cheese, which would have been perfect had it not... More

We had a light dinner. I had the Lobster Bisque and wings. I know a strange combination but it worked for me. I had a lot of lobster bisque while in Bar Harbor and this was the best. I wanted to lick the bowl

Nice quaint place to grab a bite to eat. Had dinner here and we ordered the Haddock sandwich and Lobster roll. Food and service were very good. We really enjoyed the ambiance, it seemed like a place the locals frequented. A place where you could relax, have a great meal and enjoy the company of others.

Get there early for dinner, because by 7pm, there's at least a half hour wait everywhere on the island! Luckily, we did get there early, and we had a great time! The food was wonderful, and our server was nice and attentive. Even the hostess was a hard worker! Order the Lobster Mini Chimis! They are delicious! And the berry... More
