We went to Kai on a recommendation from some folks who live here and like sushi a lot. We were not disappointed at all, and we are sushi folks. It was delicious, the staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. We took the opportunity to try some rolls we never have before and found them to be quite... More

Kai's is, in my mind the best place foJapanese inGuam. Everyone is great and they kid is better. It is a busy place so your wed too get in early and plan, it's small. That jut des too the authentic izakaya style. I have ben eve before when th chef wasn't ini, so no sushi. The noodle dishes and other... More

This isakaya style restaurant in Guam is perfect for those who like to graze. Whether you like a tuna avocado roll, Shishamo or vegi style gyoza, take your time while you sip on you Asahi beer or sake. Then order another drink and try the edamame or fried ginko nuts...maybe an order of roasted garlic with a side of garlic... More

First, understand this little hole in the wall us a family business. Dad is a former chef, the son works in the back and Mom is on the floor. There are a couple waitresses which do an acceptable job. I love some of the dishes here, mushroom salad, asparagus bacon, and on availability he has some fine local fish being... More

Kai is little more than a lunch counter and five tables, but its very popular with both locals and Japanese tourists. Choices are limited to nigri sushi and tekka rolls, hot and cold soba noodle dishes, hot and cold udon, and six $22 set menus (sashimi, miso soup, steamed rice, dessert, and choices like fried oysters, grilled mackerel, assorted tempura,... Poor menu selection, oil soggy Tempura, and inattentive service. Noodles were just okay so I ended up stuffing myself with it.

Well priced and the best Japanese food I have found on Guam. A little small place with excellent food and service. You will feel like you are transported off the island and are in a small place in Japan by the food, clients, and feel. So much better than the hotels...
