A hole in the wall type restaurant that serves home cooked Japanese food. Atmosphere is like a diner but service is friendly and good.

Outstanding local Japanese cuisine in a very comfortable and local setting. Service is always expeditious and courteous. I especially like the fact that I can dress comfortably in local shorts and t-shirt and not feel out of place. The food is always delicious and tasty. The teishoku dinner specials provide a complete filling meal even for the most ravenous! Prices... More

Wonderful food in a small, friendly local Japanese restaurant. The food is fresh and first rate. The staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is a bit out of the way and is busy and happy with the local folks having a great time!

The food was outstanding and the setting is straight out of an old style Japanese shoku-do. This is not a trendy, glamorous sit down Japanese restaurant, but the menu and food is authentic. I ordered the ahi tempura and it came with a generous portion of sashimi, miso soup, salad, and tempura too. Very generous portions!

We love the food here. Its a small place in a hide-away spot. The service is good and the food is even better. Parking is limited but most of the locals know where to find them. Best Japanese food in the area.

If you want Japanese food with the local flair, this is the place. They still got the Japanese influence. Menu is still the same after all these years, infused with some new nuances by her sons.

Stumbled across the restaurant by accident as it is in a bit of an odd location. Nonetheless, we've eaten there a number of times. Huge lunch specials that my young grandson and I share and still can't finish. Shrimp and vegetable temper is the best ever plus 2 types of salad. Yes, service can be a little slow but well... More

The food was great. Tempura was the best we've ever had. The menu has a great variety to choose from including meats, poultry and seafood. This is the authentic Japanese food. A nice family owned and operated restaurant.

It's a really tiny restaurant but the food is consistently delicious and of great quality. The Tempura is one of the best I ever had. Love their Teishoku selections because many of them offer sashimi as a choice. The parking lot is limited but there is usually parking on the street. Not always the fastest service, but worth waiting for!... More

In Hawaii to find an affordable and delicious restaurant is not a easy task. We made it based on google maps and we were so happy that we did. The restaurant is in a odd location but the food is awesome! Services was slightly slow because there was only one waitress however, she was efficient to handle everything. We enjoyed... More
