This is the Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe, not the one down in the city. Be aware, they don't open till 4:30 p.m. We thought from the reviews that they were open for lunch, but it's only the other restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the service was wonderful, and the place has a great view. I had the fresh baked fish... More

As my husband quoted "I could eat here the rest of my life." A bit of a drive from Waikiki but well worth it. A beautiful restaurant, we were early for our reservations and had a little wait. There was a nice seating area at the front of the restaurant where we had drinks at a proper table, very comfortable... More

Great atmosphere, nice view, great service (thanks Fitz), beautiful fish (try the Ahi Poke platter and get all 4), interesting and delicious cocktails (and mocktails), local beer on draught. My wife and I got lucky as we arrived without a reservation in happy hour, but as all the people waiting were larger parties, we went straight to a booth! Couldn't... More

I go to Haleiwa Joe's at least a few times a year, as I live nearby. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is really good, but the wait time for a table any day can be over an hour. They never take reservations, so it is first come first serve. The only way the beat the long wait is to... More

This was our first meal on a recent trip to Oahu and at my suggestion so it was doubly disappointing. The service was good, but the food was applebys quality, if that. And certainly far more expensive. The garlic bread was good, as was the calamari appetizer. The rock shrimp was all right. The rest though ran from bland to... More

This restaurant is nestled in a tropical/mountain setting...fabulous open air. While waiting, bar had happy hour 4:30 to 6:45 with drink and appetizers discounted. You should get there early, very popular. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Great service. Our waitress Stacia was adorable and so pleasant. My Husband loved his 2 lb prime rib, Poke sampler fantastic! Parking is slim, have... More

The garlic bread would have been enough and the ahi tuna was a grin but then there was the volcano. Best dessert ever.

Come to this location only. Walking into the building takes your breath away. The entire back of the restaurant is open to this stunning view of the mountain and tropical Jungle. It's really quite amazing. There are no reservations so expect a 30-45 minute wait. It's worth it. The prime rib is massive and can feed two to three average... More

We celebrated our anniversary a few weeks after moving to Oahu so we picked Haleiwa Joe's based on reviews and the recommendation of a friend. Before you go, keep in mind that if you want the fabled prime rib you better be there within an hour of opening, after that your chances go down. Also, expect to have a wait... More
