My hubby and I were self-touring the North Shore with a really cool app call "Shaka Oahu" which led us to a secluded lil' beach tucked away in Lanikai. After a very delightful swim we were starving and decided to look for a place with ahi poke. Yelp directed us to The Hibachi in Kailua. There we tried our first... More

This is a great place to grab a poke bowl. The Ginger Shoyu Ahi bowl was plenty to eat and I liked the way they drizzled the sauce on top of the fish and rice before serving. It was seasoned just right. Seating is tight. They also have an assortment of marinated meats to take home and throw on the... More

Met up with some friends here and was not disappointed. Locals place with delicious fresh fish choices but we were there for the poké. Several options but we went with the traditional. Fantastic. Casual locals hangout for sure. If you don't know about this place you would not know. But add it to your list and check it out.

Hubby & I had eaten at Fatboy's & loved the food. I found out later that the owners also had a little market behind it called The Hibachi. We decided to check it out on this trip. We got the Wasabi Poke, Shoyu Poke, Teriyaki Chicken & Teriyaki Beef. All were great. Fresh, full of flavor & perfect accompaniment with... More

It seemed curious seeing that little barbecue when we parked. Inside, there were lots of great choices of different skewers. They took our order and cooked it up right outside the back door. Cool. We were very pleased with our little lunch and it was a great change of pace after all of the overly commercialized places in Honolulu.

The Hibachi was wonderful. My husband and I stopped by after the beach one day and we tried our first ever poke which he loved! We bought poke and fish for the grill from here each day we stayed in Kailua. Everyone who worked here was so helpful and even made some herbs and marinates for us to use for... More

Tasty AND inexpensive. The only negative is the limited seating. Any party of 4 or more may have to do take out only.

Love Hibachi, the food is amazing. Great Poke, and especially their dip selection. Incredible marinated meats.

We stopped in to get some food to grill in the evening. Not a lot left in the display the Kalbi beef was a little chewy but the poke was delicious! CHicken skewers were tasty. Big selection of beers and wine

This place is a market-style food/grill. They have many poke choices and steak choices. They charge by the pound. The man behind the counter really helps you decide what to order. He even lets you try the different kinds of poke first! You can round it out with a nice cold beer or whatever beverage you prefer. They also have... More
