People should really review their idea of a great meal or snack. These Shrimp trucks are overrated. STOP telling tourist to go there. Not to mention that department of health & sanitation should really review their standards or whoever is responsible of issuing those permits , those trucks do not look very clean ... tourist traps ! And in 2017... More

Stopped here today for a late lunch, we shared the Garlic Shrimp and rice, so delicious, my favourite meal to date. Caution the hot sauce is HOT!! So glad we stopped to check out Giovanni's.

Pros: Get to experience the hype, good flavor with large portions (had the garlic shrimp) Cons: Not the best shrimp you will have, kind of pricy, can be a long wait, the servers work hard so don't expect a happy dance Overall: glad we tried the hype but since we are new to Oahu, will continue to look for other... Good garlic shrimp with garlic rice. Large serving. Lots of other foodtrucks to choose from too (my daughter chose French crepes). Good location in Haleiwa.

After going to Mackys for over 10 years and it's currently closed we decided to come back and give it another try. It actually is better than I remember it was. We had the Scampi shrimp. It was 14$ which isn't bad for 12 large shrimp. Plenty of garlic and well flavored. Of Mackys doesn't reopen I will continue to... More

Firstly, note that this really does look like a dodgy food truck, because the whole truck is decorated by graffiti - although that is one of the novelties of the truck. They provide permanent markers for you to sign and graffiti the truck however and wherever you want! Secondly, if you order their signature dish (the garlic scampi), you WILL... More

Its like shrimp and garlic with a good portion of good times. Get your fingers dirty and experience one of the best food truck on the island. Mac salad is crazy good too.

Get ready for grabbing a picnic table and trying to avoid the (probably feral) dogs roaming around...this is a great enclave of food trucks! You can choose from java, smoothies, suasages, etc. at the various stands, but I absolutely LOVED the shrimp scampi at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck. There are two locations and I was up at the North Shore stop,... More
