We spent a week at Turtle Bay Resort and by far this was one of our top restaurants to visit. The atmosphere was fabulous, the dinner selection was great and the food tasted AMAZING! Our wait staff were courteous and our server (Jarel) knew every...More

We went here our first night and Roy's our second. Roy's is much better. Roy's food is much better, staff and prices compared to Pa'akai.

After hearing great things about the place, we decided to go here for my mothers birthday. The Good: The busboys were great! They were friendly, attentive and fun. The Bad: Mike, our waiter, seemed very disinterested and frankly rude. While he was never "outwardly" rude,...More

Great food, but like a lot of restaurants at Turtle Bay, service is average. They say it's fine dining, they just do it way to quickly, for me.

Pa‘akai’s menu highlights the best in fresh local fish, farm-raised lobster, Kauai prawns, sea asparagus, seaweed and sea salt produced in Hawaii. Signature dishes include the pan-seared kampachi with roasted butternut squash, grilled crimini mushrooms and an apple daikon vinaigrette; as well as the Inamona–crusted scallops with avocado puree, Kahuku corn and pipikaula relish with macadamia nut chili oil. The menu also includes offerings such as the Kona coffee-rubbed New Zealand lamb rack with truffle mash and an elderflower and blackberry reduction, as well as a Hawaiian ranchers rib eye steak with fingerling potatoes. Desserts include a warm caramelized apple banana chocolate lumpia with coconut sauce, and a Waialua chocolate soufflé with Ka‘u macadamia nut sauce. The restaurant also features a full bar with signature cocktails and an array of appetizers, including selections from a seafood “treasure chest.”Pa‘akai has a contemporary, ocean-inspired ambiance of cool blues and natural fixtures, flexible seating for 110 guests, and an area for nightly live entertainment from renowned local artists.
