The specialty is sweet bread sold after 7:30pm from the back door. Lunch was ok and waiter was friendly. I would eat here again.

Bread is amazing as other reviewers say. We had cinnamon and raisin. Really nice. Restaurant - we had breakfast plate. I had poached eggs bacon toast. It was good. Eggs were good consistency. Husband had the same but sunny side up and has Browns. I won. Hash brown was slightly insipid and eggs sunny side up were undercooked. I think... More

Situated along the main drag in Kaunakakai, Kanemitsu's is an old style family bakery-what it lacks in frills they more than make up for in taste and array of products. You can order hot bread the night before and pick it up in the early morning hours. They sell a handful of different breads all day long and three types... More

Kids read about this place and we were advised by several to visit. First visit was in mining for fresh pastries. Go early for best selection. Town was dead at 5:15am but at 5:30 was waking up and it seemed everyone was popping in to get their morning coffee and roll. Coconut pastry was wonderful. Good assortment. Evening we went... More

Great little bakery, seems like one kind of dough, but they make several types of rolls with it. Cinnamon rolls and custard rolls are to die for. Breads and other pastries are good also. Limited hours and they usually sell out by closing. On an island with not much happening, this is a very good stop.

Went to get a hot bread around 8pm. The wait was a little long, and the mosquitoes ate me alive! Tiny no see ums which left me itching for a week. Bread was warm and gooey. The "creme" is not cream cheese but maybe marshmallow creme? A little too sweet for my tastes. One hot bread was enough for me!

Perhaps this is the place for you, if you like bread, donuts and foods like that. We wandered in there on a Sunday - gosh, it was busy! Since I don't eat bread, I guess I cannot account for the food. All I can say that it is a bustling establishment, so it certainly appeals to bread-eaters!

You will not really have been to Molokai if you do not come to this bakery. It is a major part of local life. EVERYTHING is delicious! Stop at the wine shop next door for brie to go with the french bread.

Very basic fare. Good bread and pastries. This bakery closes at 11am. Be prepared to stay awhile if you eat there because the staff tends to disappear.

The reviews are true! This was some of the best bread we had ever had. We would go at night 7:30pm and get our loaf to take home for breakfast.
