I'm not an expert on noodles but our bowls of dry noodles failed to impress us. The best description would be bland food. The beef sticks were very good as was the mac salad. Waitress was a charmer. Maybe it was our taste in food...More

Famous for their dry noodles, a local specialty. Saimin is very good. This is Hawaian food for Hawaians, not tourists. Hard to find. Inexpensive.

I eat here often, and I love the double order Dry Min noodles! With a Hamburger deluxe sandwich. Prices are very affordable unless you're a big eater like me! LOL! I recommend Sam Satos to everyone! The are known for their noodles and turnover pastries!

Great local restaurant with very friendly servers that make you feel like family.Dry noodles are a favorite, and I would say that this is what Sam Sato's is known for. They also have great daily specials.

I'm not sure what the rave is about. Their teriyaki beef has good flavor. The noodles are okay. Im always adding soy sauce and pepper and it still needs some kind of flavor kick. The crispy fries just reminded me of over cooked fries. I...More

When we were in Kauai, there was a noodle place that was the go-to local institution called Hamura Saimin. Apparently Sam Sato's is the Maui version, but the food was much better. It's off the beaten path in Wailuku in the center of the island,...More

I was a bit disappointed with the noodles after all of the hype. For me, there was not enough protein. The noodle texture was very good, but they could have used a bit more flavor. I did not have the opportunity to try anything else,...More

Located in Wailuku, get there early and plan on waiting a bit. (Be sure to sign the wait list). Order something with noodles (with wonton, or soup) and expect lots to eat. This place is also know for their masadas.

No. No Apple/Google pay either. This is very common for "Mom and Pop" restaurants on Maui and other outer islands from Oahu. I recall a sign in Hawaiian Hale (Las Vegas) that said it simply: "In God We Trust; All Other... More
