Whenever we feel like eating Dry Mein, Sam Sato's is the place we always go to. I like dining in to eat my noodles, for I feel it taste better when you eat it as soon as they make it fresh rather than taking it out to eat. This place is probably one of the oldest mom and pops dining... More

Do you want to know where the locals eat? Check out Sam Sato a small but cozy restaurant. It is not a fancy spot but they serve the best dry mein on the island, pastries are very good too. The servers are very attentive and the food comes out really quick. It's a perfect spot to meet with friends/families, make... More

Tried it twice now just to be sure, but I'm sure now that the dry noodles are not my type. You're supposed to dunk each fork full in the broth which comes in a separate bowl, according to the waitress. Not much flavor. The chicken and the beef on sticks were very good, $1.95 each. The dry noodles are $6-7.... More

This place is not for everyone, or maybe I should say is not for all visitors to Maui. It is however, a "must eat" to so many locals on island. Good local service with good local food. Love it!

Never EVER a let down when coming here. All dishes are great. Very popular so be prepared to sign in for a seat. Worth the wait and always not very long before you get seated. A "must dine" when on Maui.

There was a wait but not too long. Good food and great service. Get your own drinks. They are famous for their Seimen noodles and its served dry. Good and fulfilling! They also have Chicken and Beef stick! They are good and cheap! Manju was good too! Highly recommended!!

Plan your drive from the west side. They close at 2:00pm. You know it's the place to go when the valet says you don't want to miss out. Bring an appetite and expect a crowd. Definitely worth the wait. Saimin noodle soup or dry is a must. Pack the Manju and turnovers to go before they sell out. Small place... More

It's hard to find. It's crowded. It's really good. Found it late in our stay on Maui. Only made it there one time. Will certainly be back.

Some things in life are worth the wait and you can add Sam Satos to the list. Known for their dry mein, but everything is good, except for the doughnut. My wife didn't like it very much. We went for a late lunch right before they closed to miss the rush. They are also used to food orders to go!

Best place on Maui for saimin and wonton! They also provide take out service for pans of noodles. Easiest way to prep for a gathering of friends is to pick up a large pan.
