In the days of eating chain Italian food, it was great having "real" Italian food. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals

With two youngsters in tow, visits to restaurants can be stressful. Not here! The server took them to the pizza oven to create their own pizza with the chef. She also responded to their not-on-the-menu requests with "no problem", and delivered exactly what they asked for. Oh yes, adults were there too! The food was spectacular, perfect in every way,... Thank you very much for sharing your appreciation for your visit at Casanova. My staff will be very proud reading your comments and they deserve to be. One only correction: Casanova is in Makawao, six miles up the hill from Paia. As you noticed, well worth the drive.... More
The eggplant parmesan was 75% cheese. I could not taste the eggplant at all. I hope the other menu items are better, but we did not return
Looking to get away from the crowds on the west side we headed up country to Makawao. After walking the town shops and having a great time talking with some locals we were ready for some much needed food. A group of folks mentioned Casanova. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was excellent, and the staff were superb. Without a... More

Very rainy late morning in the upcountry. The Casanova Deli was excellent for lunch sandwiches. Good food with relatively rapid service for the number of patrons. You will not go wrong with a quick lunch at the Deli adjacent to the restaurant.
Stopped by Casanovas after Ziplining at NorthShore Ziplining. Food was great and Liz our waitress was very attentive. The bread from the pizza oven was amazing as was everything we ate. Definitely try the tiramisu for dessert.
I'll be honest. Going to an Italian restaurant on Maui feels wrong. But we were there, it was open, we were hungry. My companions ordered pastas that they enjoyed very much. I ordered the catch of the day which was a mahimahi in what was essentially a teriyaki sauce. Not Italian, but perfectly prepared and delicious. The service wasn't as... More
We took a tour to the top of Haleakala Crater from the Grand Princess Hawaii Cruise. The tour stopped at this old, quaint, and charming Italian Restaurant. The chef greeted our coach and personally directed our driver into a corner of the small parking lot--he looked like he still was in Italy with his hat, apron and kelly green chef... More
We stopped at this quaint little restaurant while on a tour. Normally one would probably give this a miss because it looks quite run down and grubby. The food is very good (little bit salty) and we would definitely recommend the pasta. Even though our bill was not correct, the staff were quick to fix it and were very pleasant.... More
The restaurant where we had planned to have lunch was closed and this was nearby so we just stopped in on a rainy chilly day. Oh my, what a meal we had! First came the focacia which was fresh, hot and delicious. The Vongole: clams both minced and in the shell served in an awesome white wine sauce over fresh... More
