The atmosphere is awesome. Whether you are coming off cruise ship or staying on the Island you have to make time to eat here. The food is so good and it is right on the beach. The waterfall and koi pond are spectacular. Fish and...More

We stayed at the Marriot Beach Club for a week in August. Why we waited until the end of the week to walk a few yards down the path to try Dukes is beyond me!! My favorite food we got was the Korean Beef Tacos...More

Duke's Kauai is a mixed bag. Service was good. Poke was bad. Hula Pie was great. Parking was bad. Location was great.

We were staying nearby and went here for convenience. It was a great choice. The food was outstanding and their was live entertainment. We actually went back again before we left.

I've been to Duke's in Malibu. But this Duke's stands out because of it's great outdoor dining area. Great location with great view. Also, this Duke's has great fish (ahi) tacos. It's a good place to eat and drink before (or after) your helicopter ride...More

The location of this restaurant is perfect, opening on to the beach in the bay! Staff were very nice, although the waiters who brought the food were rather perfunctory. However this did not detract from the ambience of the restaurant or the quality of service...More

We stayed for a week a the Kauai Marriott and tried all of the restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Duke's was the best, by a wide margin. Try the ribs - the meat literally falls off the bone. The macadamia nut and herb...More

We went here twice, mainly because it was convenient to the Marriott resort where we were staying. The first time we got the fish, and it was amazing. Five stars! I highly recommend it. The dessert was good too, and big enough that sharing is...More

This is probably the worst place I ate in Kauai. It's not terrible, it's edible, but it's certainly not up to par for a foodie. It's a chain, mass produced and overpriced. You pay for the view, not the quality of the food. There was live...More

A fun restaurant to eat at, great food, fun history to read on the menu. Lots of pictures and artifacts to look at on the way to the salad bar or restrooms...or while waiting. Nice outdoor seating and indoor atmosphere as well. Fun staff. Very...More

Island casual for the most part. Some people dressed up a little ( dress shorts and collared shirt) but not fancy dress by any means.

Description
On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.
