I was referred to this restaurant by a local so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its billing for me, at least on this visit. I thought the ambiance was lacking and dirty. The waitress could not have been more disinterested in working that evening. I ordered something called the Loco Moco -- a couple... More

My family - wife, daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandkids aged 1 to 4 ate at the Waipouli Deli today for lunch. It is open for breakfast and lunch until 2 pm. It is a family owned restaurant/deli and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone but me had breakfast and I had lunch. The food was good and the others really enjoyed... More

This is a long time family restaurant serving generations of locals with time-tested recipes. Tourist will get a taste other than pricey hotel and upscale restaurant fare. Everything is about $10 or less and the portions are generous. They can get busy so be patient, take in the "local" scene, and wait for it. You won't be sorry. And .... More

I wanted a hearty breakfast and wanted to go to a place that the locals go too. Its a busy place but service is fast. Ordered coffee and their corn beef hash with soft poached eggs ( extra cost for poached eggs like a dollar). Eggs were great. The corn beef hash came in three croquettes pieces...took me by surprise... More

After reading lots of good reviews, I came here for dinner with my husband and my almost 4 years old daughter. The place is very easy going but the people are very nice and the service is fast. It is near Foodland so there is no problem to park. I had a delicious plate of stirred fried shrimps with vegetables... More

Have eaten here over the last decade. The last year or two the quality and taste have taken a downward turn. The biggest surprise is that the cleanliness has gotten to be an issue for us. This is a Hawaiian plate lunch restaurant with a few Japanese fast food type items added. Still a good value for money if you... More

We ate lunch here based on a recommendation from a resident and LOVED it! Very casual restaurant with CASH ONLY policy. Staff is friendly and food comes out quickly. Portions are large and flavorful. We plan to return sometime for dinner.

Really good selection of all kinds of local favorites. I forget what mine was called but it had Chicken Katsu, fried noodles, teriyaki beef and shrimp, along with fried rice -- all piled high, and WE ATE IT ALL!!!!!

We wanted to experience some local cuisine during our visit to Kauai and we found this restaurant, which was nearby our condo. It is frequented mostly by locals (we may have been only tourists there at that time), which is good sign for any restaurant in a tourist location. I had the Ono with fried noodles, which was very tasty.... More
