This is a review of the restaurant. We did not stay here. We stopped in here for lunch before heading into the National Park. The lodge is some kind of National Historic building. The grounds are lovely and the décor in the restaurant is really...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. Service was super friendly, there was a good selection of wines by the glass and our food exceeded our expectations. My husband had his best burger on the island and my fish (ahi) sandwich was fresh and outstanding.

Prices are reasonable at lunch, and the ambiance is lovely. Our waiter was attentive. My husband and I wanted to split a burger and the fish and chips, and the kitchen split them for us. We also shared a cup of the Alsatian soup, and...More

Nice restaurant with a quite old fashioned interior. Reservation a must. Service friendly but the food rather disapointing for the price. Risotto totaly overcooked (was not freshly prepared), the meat (I had Angus rib eye) of minor quality and the vegetarian dish just a heap...More

We ate a few meals here several years ago and returned recently when we were in the area. We had a breakfast and a lunch this time. All the meals have been fine, not necessarily sensational, but dependably good for an area with few similar...More

This meal was very expensive but the quality of the food and service did not match the price. It took 45 minutes to get a glass of wine which is not how to start a meal. Also, everyone in our party had the same Uncle...More

Aloha. if you stayed in the Hale Maluna rooms (1-4) they are smaller than the Hale Aloha rooms because they are part of the historic YMCA buildings from 1937. The beds are more firm than soft, and it is difficult to... More

My husband jokingly said no puka pants and shirt. Actually we just advise casual elegance (jeans Clean shirt ) a lot of our diners come off the trail so fancy is not required. But honestly we even see fur wraps sometimes

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
