We were looking for vegetarian options on our day long trip exploring the volcanoes and discovered this place. Ambience is lovely with a nice garden, very quiet and laid back atmosphere. We had soups, salad and sandwiches and the food was great. There is a small gift shop adjacent to the cafe with some nice collections from all over.

This cafe is so beautiful and looks to be an oasis of calm with Eastern statues and a vegetarian menu. However I was so disappointed by the attitude of the cook who was hostile, unfriendly and rude. Being British the attitude of the cook was so alien to me when she was uttering statements such as "that is off and... More

First, I would like to thank you for your valuable input. We are always seeking ways to help improve our guest experience at Cafe Ono. That being said, New Year's Day was the busiest in the Cafe's history, with only one other restaurant open besides Cafe Ono. With over 100 lunches served, I am proud to mention that most of... More

The gravel path might be pretty but is awful for mobility scooters. Only steps and No ramps to bathroom. Gruff lady was really rude "45 minutes before you'll get any food." Pretty location but we won't be back.

We wondered into Cafe Ono looking for a cup of coffee. We were greeted in the beautiful garden by the owner Ira, who welcomed us in with a big smile. While the gallery was open the cafe was not, but they seated us for a cup of coffee anyway. Some of the people who have bad reviews mentioned the cafe... More

We enjoyed our vegetarian lunch and browse through the arts and crafts inside and out. Very friendly.

Not what you would expect from either the location or appearance. Be aware it is a little pricey, but on the other hand they make fresh pizzas if you aren't up for the suckling pig.

Very quaint restaurant that serves excellent homemade food. Service top-notch. Don't be fooled that it is near the end of a dead end road. We had both soups they offered: vegetable and mushroom miso and seaweed as well as Mexican casserole (lasagna) and vegetarian chili - everything was delicious!

We had a very good lunch here. Every thing was locally sourced and cooked from scratch. The surrounding gardens are beautiful. Most surprising to me was the gift shop. I hate shopping, but the array of beautiful affordable creative offerings here made me linger and buy.

Discovered this little hole in the wall when other places had closed for lunch. Too small inside to eat but there are tables outside or you can take to go. Great coffee, homemade pastries, fresh sandwiches and wonderful soup. The owner and a helper are there to serve you and give advice about Volcano Village. A good stop over when... More
