Pele's kitchen is a casual and comfortable place to dine at. Breakfast foods are the mainstay of this restaurant. The menu is diverse and prepared well. The food is presented with care and Hawaiian aloha. This is a fun experience with good food.

Super super tasty breakfast, huge portion, and a very friendly service. Had the eggs benedict with hash brown and it was very tasty. Coupled with attentive waitress, would happily recommend.

Was hoping this would be a hidden breakfast gem but the food just was bleh. Got the loco moco which was OK and the kalua pork omelet was just bad even though I love both kalua pork and omelets in a vaccuum. On a bright note the service was good. But we opted to go to the grocery store and... More

This was the only place open for breakfast in Pahoa on our first morning (a Sunday) so off we went. We were glad we did! This is a delightful place with funky Hawaiian ambiance and friendly service. We had the chicken fried steak plate, huevos rancheros, and the cajun scramble - all very good. The offer a $5 fruit plate... More

Chef- grown fruit and coffee! Our family of 5 had breakfast after lava boat tour. Three huge pancakes with plenty of macadamia nuts. Delicious spinach vegetable and Portuguese sausage scramble. Mango blintzes. Yum!

Over my nine days staying on the Big Island, I ate breakfast here twice and highly recommend it to everyone else. The place is small but you can eat outside. The food is worth the drive if you aren't staying in Pahoa. On my first visit...I had the Biscuits and Gravy. Being from the south, I had some expectations but... More

I went there only once for brunch which I found to be delicious and innovative for breakfast/brunch type food. We had the mango-coconut blintz with cheese filling which had fresh mango and real coconut strips (not the yucky shaved stuff with extra sugar). They have great vegan options with tofu scrambles and fresh veggies. Spiced well and fast, friendly service.... More

Liked the food here. Good quality and plenty of choice. It's really just a cafe and bizarrely seems to close at 12.30 each day (which is early even in Hawaii).

Aloha, sorry no one told you...Chef Stephen grows much of the produce we use to make our meals, so he goes home to garden and harvest each day. I hope you could taste the difference, and the love he puts into each meal. Mahalo! A hui hou. More

What a nice surprise! We stumbled upon this place on a Sunday when a favorite Pahoa bakery with gluten free food was closed. It turns out they have GF blueberry or banana pancakes. They were light and fluffy and came with a side of local fruit. The restaurant also sometimes has homemade ginger mango juice, and on this day one... More

Description
Chef-grown organic produce in most meals, in a rainbow of colors and flavors, in an intimate cafe setting in historic Old Pahoa town. We have wonderfully eclectic tastes for the gourmet as well as vegans who just want "REAL" food.
Most of our customers compliment us on how beautiful our food looks as well as how great it tastes, and for the price, it is a deal well worth the drive from Kona!
We are in lava zone 1, so, you may have traffic, vog, or Lava to contend with, but you may also have the best time in your life coming here!
