Great service and perfect breakfast! They have a very eclectic menu but I went with my boring old standard basic eggs, hash browns etc. It was delicious though and I cleaned my plate! The garnishes are even delicious. My husband had a pepper jack cheese, avocado omelette and he ate every bite as well. Very fresh ingredients. Oh, they also... More

Pele's is small and you can eat inside or out. They specialize in many kinds of eggs Benedict and they are yummy. I only gave them a 4 as the service was very nice the day we were there, but seemed a little frazzled. They kinda needed to stop apologizing for things that were fine and just work. Food was... Wow...I feel like we hit the jackpot...after our boat ride to watch the volcano lava flow, we found ourselves hungry for breakfast/lunch...we were about to drive to Hilo but decide to explore the area instead. And totally by chance, we saw Pele's kitchen and thought it might be good from the vibe of interesting diners...and we were right! Food was... More

We have been visiting this eatery for several years now, and have always found the food fresh and well prepared. Sunday brunch includes a complimentary basket of mixed breakfast buns with each order. You can get vegetarian or meat dish, with a mix of fresh tropical fruit pallet cleanser (owner grows most of these items organically, and sells or uses... More

Stopped in for breakfast after the sunrise lava boat tour. Small but very local and food was good. The fruit on the plate and a flower were a nice addition. There was a fruit called a "long an". Which I had never tried.

Pele's only serves breakfast and it's obvious why. They do such a great job for all of the menu items we tried and there were many! They make fresh squeezed juice there from various fruits so get there early enough to get a glass. You won't regret it.

Great coffee and the egg's benedict with fresh avocado was delicious! My husband had the breakfast burrito and that was tasty too. Fast, friendly service. My only complaint was that the restrooms weren't very clean.

We arrived as police officers were asking folks to move their cars as they had to clear the street. Seemed the staff parked out front and this became a bit unnerving for them. We were on island time so no big deal but the staff seemed a bit upset, frazzled. We hung in, sat down and got one breakfast ordered... More

We right away loved the relaxed, local vibe of this popular spot, with handwoven hats and baskets, local honey and exotic fruit grown on the owner's farm displayed for sale. There was a huge menu and everything looked awesome. The staff was very friendly and great at describing the unusual fruit on our hand carved wood platter. The food was... More

Description
Chef-grown organic produce in most meals, in a rainbow of colors and flavors, in an intimate cafe setting in historic Old Pahoa town. We have wonderfully eclectic tastes for the gourmet as well as vegans who just want "REAL" food.
Most of our customers compliment us on how beautiful our food looks as well as how great it tastes, and for the price, it is a deal well worth the drive from Kona!
We are in lava zone 1, so, you may have traffic, vog, or Lava to contend with, but you may also have the best time in your life coming here!
