This restaurant is open 24 hours and is very popular. We stayed at the Grand Naniloa and passed by and it was busy at all hours. Lots of locals eat here. Try to get a table in the main dining area instead of the smaller side room. The #12 Sumo(?) Big stack came with 3 huge pancakes, bacon, ham and... More

One of the few late night options in Hilo. Over 200 things on the menu, many of them look good, many of them are. From standard diner fare through more intriguing local-leaning meals. Portions are huge, lots of carbs (double scoops of rice, a massive pile of fries, etc.) unless you order otherwise. They have an option to switch out... More

No great food here, but if you need fuel before or after a hike, Ken's 24-hour eggs, pancakes etc are a reasonable value.

Had pancakes and bacon eggs on 2 separate occasions. Great restaurant and staff. Loved this place enough to return. They have been in business since the 70's.

Delicious food for great prices. Skip your hotel buffet and come here. Prices are great and the amount of food you get will leave you stuffed! Can't go wrong, breakfast lunch or dinner.

When we travel to Hilo, and are there late, we always stop to have food at Ken's. I am sure that eating breakfast and lunch would be great too. I like a late breakfast for dinner... not a lot of places open at 10 pm for food, let alone comfort food.

We were attracted to Ken's because of it's local popularity & local menu items. I selected the LauLau which is Pork wrapped in Taro Leaves. It was served with 2 scoops of Rice. I asked the waiter to put a ladle of Clam Chowder on the Rice. I thought the meal was very good and we left in a good... More

If you are hungry while visiting Hilo, this is the place to go. Great flavor, generous portions, friendly staff, and good price. I have visited Ken's House of Pancakes several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... it never disappoints.
