We were a bit skeptical about getting great pizza in Hawaii. The pizza was great and there is such a variety of toppings! The service was quick. This restaurant is in an historical building and the decor was perfect. Would definitely go again.

We stopped in for lunch, it was busy, but we got a table quickly. The waitress was friendly, and the food came out within 7 minutes - bonus. We ordered the fish sandwich, a salad, fish and chips, and a kids pizza, with drinks. Cost...More

We spent almost two weeks in Hilo, and Cafe Pesto was my favorite of all of the ones I tried. I concentrated on seafood for dinner, and it was always good. The fish and shellfish were always fresh and top quality, and prepared well. Tasty...More

Reserved a table for 8 at 7:15pm, seated at around 7:45. Burned another 20 minutes waiting for waiters to take order, then waited another 40 minutes for food to arrive. Prices were upper range, and although food was prepared well, if you're really hungry you...More

CPHB is really trying to be a high end eatery and at the same time remain on Kam Ave. The prices support a high end effort but the food consistently misses the mark. Only ate here once on our recent visit. Had one of their...More

Food is over priced. About $4 for fountain Coke. Over the years food has taken on a mass produced taste. Maybe try the daily specials. Employees are friendly but serves can be a little slow. Reservation maybe needed. Can be busy for lunch if a...More

We had decided to drive over the fairly new Daniel Inouye highway from Kailua Kona to Hilo, between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. This highway replaced the old Saddle Road which was not supposed to be used by rental cars, but the new road is...More

We decided to eat dinner here while in Hilo. It was a nice setting, with an Italian based menu. The staff was very friendly. My husband and I had the pasta Bolognese which was very good. They give you large portions of food, so you...More

Due to the state holiday most of the places to eat in Hilo were closed. Luckily Cafe Pesto was open and had available tables. Parking was free. More like a cafe, not a dinner restaurant. Place smelled delicious, service was good and attentive. Tap water...More

Quick review: Italian-focused menu of pastas and pizzas, and more. Friendly, professional service. Moderate prices for Hawaii. We were here for dinner. I had the wok-fired scallops and shrimp, tossed with tamarind sauce, with the side of pasta in a cilantro-red pepper sauce - the...More
