Step back, at least, 50 years and you have the feel of the Hotel Manago in Captain Cook on the Big Island. Everything has the look and feel of a decades old time capsule. We did not stay there but had lunch. The pork chops...More

Home style cooking. Pork chips were "broke da mouth". So good we went there twice in three days. Butterfish in miso and the opakapaka sauteed in garlic and butter were great, too. Service was quick and efficient and very friendly.

Went to Manago Hotel for dinner based on a recommendation from the proprietor at the B&B we were staying at. Got there shortly after they opened for dinner, and all the tables were reserved (a good sign!), but they made room for us. The menu...More

I agree with the previous writer. Food and drinks are a bargain. The wine selection is very limited. Their menu is actually written on a blackboard, not printed. Two of us had lunch and drinks for $20.
