Went here on recommendation from local met at breakfast. Turned out to be a great way to finish our trip. Food was good. Show was fun. Amazing that can move all those folks through serving line so fast. I had steak. Very good. Sister had...More

This is a very popular chuckwagon show and I guess that it's very well known in this part of the country. The place holds about 700 people and they do their best to fill every last seat. Reservations are strongly suggested. They do the shows...More

This was a wonderful spot! The staff was awesome and they really have a system for serving you that works so don't be put off by the numbers of people at the show. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The grounds...More

It was nice to laugh at jokes with NO bad language and definitely entertaining talented music. You do have to get there early if you want a front row but worth the wait to be in the front rows. The food is a cowboy meal...More

Have been going for years and am never, ever disappointed. The food is always good and there is plenty of it, with the setting only enhancing the experience. However, what makes this place is the people. It is run by a family that know what...More

No offense but felt we were taking a chance and were prepared for a "cheesy" experience. Wow were we surprised. Food exceeded expectations, and not just the food itself but the management of the entire process of feeding such a large group so quickly and...More

I remember the patriarch of this business family from his days at the Flying W in Colorado. What a pleasure to see that Babe is still involved in the business and in the entertainment. Feeding hundreds of people within about 20 minutes takes some effort....More

The train ride was not running when we were on the property, but it was more for kids. No wagon rides that I saw or offered when buying tickets. Not a small theme park more chuck wagon meal and western singing experience.

Show ended at around 9:30. I don't know if I would want to do a rodeo on the same night. I enjoyed dwelling on the memory of the music for a while longer, and a rodeo directly following would interfere with that pleasure.

Description
Originated on a working cattle ranch, the Bar J Chuckwagon takes you back to the spirit of the old west with a relaxing atmosphere, rib stickin' meal and authentic cowboy entertainment. The Bar J Wranglers will entertain the entire family as they take you down memory trail with songs, stories, comedy, yodeling, fiddling and more! Experience an evening you'll never forget at the Bar J Chuckwagon. The gates open at 5:30pm and the dinner bell rings promptly at 7:00pm. For the best seats come early. Visit our western village where gift shops await, take a horse-drawn wagon ride through scenic attractions, sample Dutch oven biscuits, enjoy refreshments from our Waterin' Hole, and chat with the Wranglers! With a seating capacity of 750 people, it may surprise many to know that we serve all our guests in less than 25 minutes. We can easily handle tour groups or convention parties with true western hospitality.
