We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at the Prairie Rose. My breakfast burrito was amazing, and the chicken fried steak was also great. Very cool, old school diner food.
Be prepared to stare down a server if you want to get waited on, even when it's not busy! We were seated immediately and then waited 10 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. The server brought our drinks and then disappeared for another...More

The staff was very friendly; I sat at the counter and was helped by someone who was covering for the hostess and was thus doing double duty but still managed to be attentive. The food was very good.
This little "hole in the wall" is long and narrow, but the breakfasts and service are great. I usually go here on Saturday morning before running errands, and sometimes it's too crowded to even get a seat at the counter. It's worth the wait, though....More
