Christmas day dinner, great experience. Clearly a local favorite. Intimate older home. Great dinner and service. Brwvo to the Chef and servers. They were very busy, felt a bit rushed, but to be expected on Christmas. Extremely well organized.

Absolutely delicious. We had a lovely meal here. The lamb is exceptional. Nice atmosphere and good service ... if not a little over the top for Europeans.

Atmosphere. Service. Amazing food Elk appetizer. Lamb entree. Tiramisu dessert. So glad we had dinner here. Only a 2-3 block walk from Inn on the Creek. A beautiful snowfall to make our ski vacation dinner out even more memorable. But did I mention the rack...More

The restaurant is located in an old timber house that is a little quirky. The main dining area is downstairs and this has the most ambience so book there if possible. It looked like there was outdoors seating for the Summer. Signature dish is rack...More

I want to say, I am so sorry for your experience not being great. I have spoken to the hostess about not moving you to another quieter table, that should have happened first and I have spoken to your server about not knowing the details...More

Good variety and very high quality with great service. There was local game which everyone loved. We sat upstairs and had a large group. God for all ages.

Highly recommend the lamb. Great food and service. Small and cozy but Not very private. Gentleman playing guitar was a welcome surprise.

I picked this from reviews online & it was our BEST meal of the holiday! Small restaurant, great food, we had Salmon to die for! Would definitely go again! Small irritation is that they would not do separate checks!

Went for NYE. The appetizer assortment was just way too big. Bread was good. Chestnut soup stole the show. My husband had the elk tenderloin which was amazing. I had the lamb and although it was tender it was a little over cooked. Mud pie...More

They did have some vegan options on their menu! They do have a website, with the most current menu on it! I'd check there for what they serve! Jackson is very, vegan friendly at most venues!

Description
The Blue Lion was built as a residential home in the late 1930's, in 1974 it became The Tourist Trap restaurant and then in 1976 The Blue Lion. I bought it in 1978 after graduating college. The Blue Lion has evolved a lot since the early days. We continue to add and change dishes semi-annually. The lamb, elk and fresh fish are our biggest sellers. There was a restaurant in southern California where I grew up that served mud pie and my mother made a home made hot fudge sauce which we incorporated into our own version of mud pie, a local favorite. The restaurant has been enlarged several times, the upstairs dining, the kitchen, the waiting area and the outdoor deck. In the winter The Blue Lion can accommodate 60 diners at one time. In the summer we open the deck enabling us to accommodate 80 diner. We are open nightly at 5:30 and usually feature an acoustical guitarist as entertainment.
