My husband and I dined at the Blue Lion after having flown across the country on two different flights. Needless to say we chose well when we reserved the Blue Lion for dinner that evening. We were so hungry, and the food was so good....More

We had the stuffed mushrooms, the lobster and shrimp scampi and the tequila lime trout. Everything was fantastic. The blood orange margaritas were amazing. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Excellence was the order of the day at this restaurant. The food, the service, the ambience all were of the highest standard. They offered the option to share the rack of lamb with individual portions which was very nice and left room for excellent desserts.

Decided to treat ourselves to the best rated restaurant in Jackson. It was certainly good, but not great for the price level. I had the rack of lamb (house specialty) while my wife had the halibut (also a chef's special). All good except for the...More

We went to jackson to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Saved this spot for our special dinner. It was DELICIOUS ! Elk tenderloin was amazing, melts in your mouth. They also treated us to a desert. Wonderful service and atmosphere.

We were visiting Jackson and asked a couple of locals for a recommendation. They suggested The Blue Lion. Good choice. It is off the center of town so we had to look. We were walkins and they accommodated us even though it became very busy....More

The Blue Lion is recommended by just about everyone you talk to so, tonight we went! Definitely make reservations as it is a small restaurant in a historic house and it fills up fast. They are known for their lamb and that’s what Mom has...More

Always good service, always good food...what else is there? Really nice for couples and special dinners as well. Ned Brown always greets all his guests at each table, another nice feature of this restaurant.

They did have some vegan options on their menu! They do have a website, with the most current menu on it! I'd check there for what they serve! Jackson is very, vegan friendly at most venues!

Description
The Blue Lion was built as a residential home in the late 1930's, in 1974 it became The Tourist Trap restaurant and then in 1976 The Blue Lion. I bought it in 1978 after graduating college. The Blue Lion has evolved a lot since those early days mostly due to retired head chef, Tim Libassi who's was with me for almost 25 years. We continue to add and change dishes semi-annually. The lamb, elk and fresh fish are our biggest sellers. There was a restaurant in southern California where I grew up that served mud pie and my mother made a home made hot fudge sauce which we incorporated into our own version of mud pie, a local favorite. The restaurant has been enlarged several times, the upstairs dining, the kitchen, the waiting area and the outdoor deck. In the winter The Blue Lion can accommodate 60 diners at one time. In the summer we open the deck enabling us to accommodate 80 diner. We are open nightly at 5:30 and usually feature an acoustical guitarist as entertainment.
