We have been traveling for 7 days, and stopped in Hulett on our way home. This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and so glad we took the advice. We arrived a little after 4, and the restaurant was closed, but as we got out to see, there was a very friendly gentleman in the parking lot who told us... More

I really enjoyed the look of Ponderosa Cafe. Me and my fiance stopped in for a quick bite on our way through the town on Easter Sunday. To start - we were so glad to find a place open on Easter - especially a place as cool as Ponderosa Cafe. Unfortunately our budget was quite tight so we shared a... More

Best meal on our cross-country trip by far! The chicken wings and bacon burger were cooked to perfection. Nice people and great atmosphere, too!

The Ponderosa Restaurant was a pleasant surprise find in Hulett, WY. In April, the bar section was open behind the restaurant which is in the front part of the building. The food was great - we ate the fried shrimp with homemade cocktail sauce and fries plus slaw. He also makes his own blue cheese dressing which is great on... More

We were advised by the lady at the Devils Tower trading post to eat there. That by far was the best advise/best meal we had on our vacation. We also enjoyed their tomato beef soup, that alone could have been a meal. Highly recommended. The only reason I couldn't rate it for breakfast or lunch is that I don't believe... More

The owner opened up the side room for us to dine in to get away from the smoke, even though the room was closed for the off season. Super friendly staff, and the burgers were great.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. She said they had just added the chipotle burger to the menu. It was so good. Perfectly seasoned and the thick bacon...yum!

There's something on the menu for everyone...standard fried food fare, excellent burgers, home made soups and some very creative dishes. The blue cheese salad dressing in home made (others are not, but good) and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The only down-side was that the fries were made from frozen crinkle cut..but hey, hard to get fresh produce all the... More

Thank you for choosing us and for the very nice review. In lieu of a childrens menu the server should advise folks that we will do a half portion on most of our offerings. Thanks again for the review. OUR 500th! More

Our hotel recommended the Ponderosa Cafe. Our meal portions were huge and they were so delicious! I jokingly asked for the recipe for the beef and cabbage soup and the chef came out and told me exactly how to make it! We are from Texas, so were happy to have excellent steak & pork chops. 😉 We would recommend this... More
