Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A friend suggested we try Inn at Cedar Crossing and it went way beyond our expectations! In fact during our stay in Sturgeon Bay, WI, we had dinner there 3 evenings. It was just that good. The menu was varied and the chef had specials....The food and drinks were exceptional and the servers we had were efficient and friendly.More

A small B&B style inn located on the upper floor of an historic building in downtown Sturgeon Bay. The inn consists of 9 rooms decorated with antique furniture and small, older motel-style bathrooms. We had rooms 6 (Queen) and 9 (king). Both had fireplaces and...enough room to spread out and settle in. Room 9 also has a large balcony with table and chairs. This place is cozy and nice for a short stay and was a great base for our visit with family in the area. It does operate a bit differently: 1. Pay attention to the pre arrival emails-there’s not always someone staffing the desk so you need the door code to get into the building. 2.There’s not really any “checking in” process- the room you reserved (all are upstairs-no elevator-pack light) will have your room key and is unlocked when you arrive and they bill you the day you are scheduled to arrive 3. They run your credit card in advance -just leave your key at the end of your stay-no checking out 4. There is no housekeeping just a spot to help yourselves if you need more tiny shampoo, Kleenex etc 5. There’s a daily “help yourself “ continental breakfast with juice, coffee, milk, tea, cereal, fruit, yogurt and sugary scones all individually packaged. Enough to get you going. I think much of this is a remnant of the COVID protocols and it just seems to work for them. Our room was fairly quiet although the beds and pillows are super hard. If driving, bring a pillow from home.More

Lovely room — almost like a suite. Small sitting and sleeping areas separated by beautifully carved woodwork frame. Color scheme was attractive and relaxing. Large gas fireplace — obviously in July we didn’t need it, but it does work. Bathroom was a little small but...fine; water pressure in the shower could have been a little stronger but otherwise no complaints. There’s a small breakfast nook where guests can get fresh baked pastries, cereal, juice and coffee. There’s also a number of hot teas (my preference), and everything can be taken to the rooms. One comment: there were two coffee dispensers, but the only way to heat up water for tea was the microwave. I would suggest getting another pump dispenser just for hot water. We had stayed at the same place a number of years ago when it had a different owner. The new owners changed the decor a bit to make the place their own. Didn’t see other rooms to compare, but ours was very pleasing. It was cool enough at night to sleep with the windows open, but note: the inn is in the heart of the city, so there’s lots of street noise at all hours.More

Nice restaurant with a full menu. The prices were reasonable. We saw couples as well as families enjoy the food. Our meals were good and we’d go back. The cherry pie was really good although it had a sweet almost yeasty bottom crust. Unusual and...tasty. Good wine selection and great service.More

Amazing food here! Great atmosphere, but not stuffy. Friendly wait staff. My husband had the Chicken risotto, and I had the Vegetarian Coconut Curry Noodles (and added chicken). So delicious!! Service was wonderful and our hostess Amy helped us decide from the delicious meals on...the menu. Our meals arrived quickly, and were SO flavorful. Highly recommend!More

We’ve eaten here several times while staying at nearby White Lace Inn. The restaurant decor is lovely, intimate and classy. Food and service is always good. I had the Beet Salad with Shrimp; excellent. My spouse had Orange Roughy and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Bread...was fresh and outstanding.More

First time visitors to the area. We ordered take out and ate at our B&B so no dine in experience. The receptionist wasn't even sure if they could do a take out meal. So glad they accommodated us. Had the most wonderful meal. I had...the beef tenderloin and delicious delicata squash. Hubby had the grilled pork chop. We both loved our meal!More

It was a busy lunch hour but our service was fast and efficient. I enjoyed the decor and ambiance, I would describe as a quiet elegance. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the variety of options offered. I had the Healthy Grains salad and it was...delicious, with a generous portion, well prepared and presented. Others ordered the CC Burger and also enjoyed their meal. I would go there often if I lived nearby.More

We had a nice evening in the bar. However, we 1st ordered Margaritas, (regular Margaritas) and they were unrecognisable. We have no idea what was in those glasses... the bartender said the mix was fruit juice— it had sort if a mango & orange juice...flavor! We could not drink it, so he brought us different drinks . The appetisers were great.More

We had tickets to the theatre so we were looking for for a place close by. Our first choice, that supposedly doesn't take reservations, had a 45 minute wait fir tables! So much forvfirst come first served. So we went across the street and gave...Cedar Crossing a shot. We were very glad we did. The cocktails were very good. The artichoke spread appetizer was the right size and delicious and the entrees, chicken piccatta and fried walleye were nicely presented and very delicious. We have season tickets to the theatre so I am thinking that cedar crossing and their staff will get our patronage going forward. I'm sure we will be very pleasedMore
