Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for dinner with family. The place was not very busy. The food was lukewarm at best which came with a side of indigestion. Extremely disappointed in the quality of food. We asked for 3 different drinks from the drink list, but they were out....We tried this place about a year ago and were pleased, but not this time. Waitress was short with us, the women's bathroom was dirty, out of paper toweling, and the garbage can was full. We asked for paper toweling, which was refilled, but the worker didn't address the full garbage can that was next to the door (hard to miss). I found her on her cell phone as I exited the restroom. We had a very poor experience and will not return.More

Mikey’s used to be a great spot to grab a bite to eat. I’ve dined there on many occasions in the past year. Their food has consistently gone downhill. The prices are more expensive and the portions are smaller. Initially, I loved their cheese curds....I will never again order them because they are always over fried to the point that there is no cheese inside the coating. The bbq sandwich is always dry now and items are frequently forgotten on the salads. The menu never changes which is disappointing for a local. I do have to say that I have always received great service from the weight staff and the chocolate desert is to die for. I will not return again nor can I recommend them to others.More

Once was enough. very nice atmosphere and eclectic decorating and staff were pleasant and seemed eager to please. Asked what was on tap and was told to 'take out your phone and scan the QR code to see'. No, Nope, Not Gonna Happen. Tried to...narrow it down to what Point do you have on tap? Point Lager? Well, we have Point Amber and that's a lager so yeah we have Point Lager. Nope. Too many beers to have staff memorize them all but at least have a paper menu/printout of the QR code - train staff that Amber does not equal Lager. Chewy cheese curds were ok but for some reason they were served on a wooden plank (I think that was 'atmosphere'?) over a bunch of crushed cherries. Ewwww. Husband had brisket (very fatty, even for brisket) and i had fish that was so thin and included the tail end that curled up and was only breading - not a good presentation in a circular tin cake pan (again, 'atmosphere'?) the only good thing was my amber (especially the second one as the first one has something floating in it) and the garlic fries. Not gonna bother going there againMore

Staff is rather stuck up and rude. Bartenders act like they are doing you a favor by just serving you. Nothing specific about the food either.

Nice dinner here. Our server Gabe was very helpful and made recommendations that were great. Super beer selection and you could try a small sample before you purchased. Food was very good. Convenient location to our hotel. I had the salmon cakes which were wonderful.

I noticed sticky stuff on the back of my leg after I sat down and I got up and showed my husband and said I had purple jam on the back of my pants! The chair was filthy and almost half the chiar was covered...in sticky jam! I told the server and she offered me a rag and that was it! My favorite pair of pants are ruined because your staff can't clean chairs!! So upset! I had to go home and change! Not worth $80 and a new pair of jeans!. Look before you sit!More

I’d give this place a 10 if I could. Theresa was a wonderful hostess and server. We’d not been here before but she explained and provided recommendations when we asked her. She was patience and respectful. If I owned an establishment like this, I’d want...her on my team. The food was very good and the price was acceptable. We had the smoked whitefish dip Appetizer and the jagerschnitzel for our meal. Both were very good. The drinks were well made and were special as we celebrated a birthday.More

My husband got the pepperoni pizza. And I got the Nueske's bacon burger. I thought there would be more bacon on the burger only two small slices. Could not taste the bacon over the sauce it was a blueberry sweet I'd say jam sauce. When...I inquired about the bacon the waiter said thats how they have always done it with the two slices... the sauce soaked the brioche bun... It overpowered so much that it tasted like a breakfast Burger. The bacon was no longer the hero....Not exactly what I was hungry for. Not a fan. Our cheese curds that we ordered as an appetizer came on a plank on a bed of cranberry chutney which is okay if you like cranberry chutney. We did not know that the cheese curds would be in the chutney. My husband's pizza came to us hardly cut bare minimum effort by the restaurant. He gave it a 6.5 out of 10... Some of of the decor is very dusty.More

Enjoyed a great Sunday brunch. We started with loaded Bloody Mary's, then had a few dishes to share. The mushroom scramble and hangover burger were delicious.

A very pleasant Sunday afternoon at Mikey’s. My wife and I came to Plover for the afternoon and after reading so many positive reviews we had to try it. Superb beer selection, excellent food. We had the Jager Schnitzel and my wife had a side...salad that she said was one of the freshest she has had in a long time. Our wait person was friendly and knowledgeable. A great value. We will be back!!!💥💥💥👍More

This place was a gem with a creative chef. It was the only place we could find in the plover Wisconsin area that was open past 9 PM on a Saturday night. So we were surprised and gratified that the food was so good. I...had the short ribs (remember, this place lists itself as a bar and grill), with garlic mashed potatoes and sliced roasted carrots. My wife had a Carolina barbecue sandwich with coleslaw and fries. Their menu is quite varied and they have the normal pub fare if that’s what you were after. The smartest move my wife and I made was each getting our own pumpkin spiced crème brûlée. It was tasty and creamy, delicious and to die for. The presentation of the food on the plate grabs your attention before you even take a bite. The food was layered and stacked pleasingly on the plate with swirls of delicious sauce everywhere, scrumptious! They maintained Covid separated seating which is why we decided to eat inside though they did have patio dining. I had the cocktail they call a new fashioned which was a twist on an old fashioned with bourbon and a muddle of various fruit flavors. It was really good as well. We will make this a normal stop on our travels through the area in the future.More

We traveled through this area and stayed a couple nights, which gave us an opportunity to eat at Mickey's. The first night we dined on their outdoor tables, which was shady, comfortable and easy service for Abby, our waitress. We enjoyed the braised short rib...and Bacon Alfredo, both served hot and in large quantity. We paid for additional mushrooms in the alfredo, and found two slices. Not worth the extra $2, and a big disappointment. The food tasted very good, the short rib was tender and served on a a load of mashed potatoes. We prefer vegetables with our meal, which is not the norm in most places, but they were nice enough to provide a few sliced grilled carrots on our plate. Abby was a good waitress, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in deciding from the varied menu. The food was so good, that we returned two more times to get take-outs. I give them a grade of A for the food, atmosphere and friendly staff, and a high recommendation.More

Walked in and it was busy. Sat at the bar and had a wonderful beer from Germany. Looked at the menu and ordered an appetizer of Dressed Cucumbers. Nom Then a delectable Tuna Tutaki for dinner.

I'm always leery about going to the #1 restaurant according to trip advisor as we've been burned on this before. However, this meal was wonderful. We ordered the specials and a white fish dip appetizer and everything was great, and our waitress was attentive (my...glass was never empty) and we had a great time. My only criticism would be their kids menu. Our daughter likes to eat anything and the kids menu was only mac and cheese, chicken tenders, etc and we enjoy it when restaurants take their signature and make it kid sized so she can have something different. We just ordered an appetizer and shared our entrees with her so she got a variety but we definatly will come againMore
