Unique place. Reminds me of my uncle's workshop: homey, quirky, rustic, intriguing. Only a few tables but lots of take out business. Soups change daily or so. These are serious working-person soups. Together with their generous hunk of bread, it's all you need.

Easy to miss in the street but don't Judge this store by it's cover. Or the random collection of.. everything inside. While you are waiting on their great soup you can gaze at all the random items. Nice people, good food.

Great atmosphere , Milwaukee Police, downtown business people, people on bikes..the reason it is so diverse is because the menu is...some of the best bread - I have have ever had (they make it there). The soup (Dicks Cowboy something or other) was unbeleivable-
I have gone here for years, the best soup and bread, eclectic, strange decor-but I love it! I like the Chili, and the Red Pepper Bisque.
