To be honest I didn't hear of the swinging door until a friend took me there for lunch. It's unique and a cozy spot for lunch. I got there about 11:30am and had the grilled cheese with fries. (my personal favorite but they had other great selections in the burger category) The swinging door I would categorize as a relaxing... More

Lots to choose from and so much of it sounds good. The grilled beet salad was amazing. The house cab wine was incredibly good for a house brand, wish I caught the label. Service was OK, but I think they were understaffed, the servers seemed rushed and flustered. All in all, good food in an old style pub type setting.... More

Great food & service with a cozy atmosphere but limited space. I have enjoyed all of the menu items I have tried but the Tuna Melt is my favorite. There is usually a wait time for a table on Friday due to the fish fry crowd.

This is a very cozy eclectic off the beaten path kind of place. Highly recommend it. Great menu, staff, and atmosphere.

Part of me doesn't want to tell the good news, it will get crowded. Friendly, wonderful menu and the best corn beef hash in Milwaukee. Bloody Mary's are very tasty and the special are unique.

Stopped in for fish fry Friday night. The place was packed but that's usually a good sign. The staff didn't disappoint. They said there would be a 45-60 min wait and they were spot on. The staff worked hard to make sure the capacity crowd was served and fed. I enjoyed the cod plate and look forward to stopping by... More

This is the perfect place for a unique fish fry - the place is quaint and cozy (not many tables, so you probably have to wait a little while), the food inventive, and the service is great. We shared an order of the onion straws - they were crisp, light, and came with a nice dipping sauce. For my side... More

It was a Saturday, and we were looking for lunch. Construction on Michigan Street was a bit troublesome, but it was so worth it! As soon as we entered the cozy bar area, we were greeted and told to take any empty table. Jasmine immediately followed us and took our beverage orders. After perusing the extensive menu, I opted for... More

We loved this restaurant as soon as we sat down for lunch. The ambiance and music bring you back to yesteryear in an incredibly enjoyable manner. Our friendly server tended to us frequently and offered great recommendations. We each built our own ahi tuna sandwich. The portions were delicious, filling, and cooked perfectly. My fiancé ate perfectly prepared French fries.... More
