Brunch is amazing! About a dozen fresh made items to choose from, muffin/biscuit/popover basket and fresh fruit served at the table. Price included a large mimosa or Bloody Mary or juice AND coffee. Service was excellently!

Pan fried walleye with potato pancakes. Comes with apple sauce, tartar sauce and Brussels sprouts. The breading was very light. The fish was cooked very well. The pancakes were very mild in flavor. Cream of mushroom soup. Thinner than I like but the flavor was very nice. 1/2 price bottle of wine Valdivieso of Chile 2013 Sauvignon Blanc My wife... More

Good food for a reasonable price. Helpful and happy wait staff. A local gem for sure. Kind of off the beaten path but worth finding to enjoy a nice meal.

I have been staying in Hartford for the last few weeks on business. This is hands down the best place to get a great meal. The chef/owner is friendly and will often come socialize with his guests. Not only that but his food is always freshly prepared and excellent in quality. Due to this, this hidden gem quickly became "home... More

This tavern/fine dining restaurant is tucked away near Pike Lake and truly worth seeking out. The owner/chef is fantastic and creative. Everything is homemade. The upper level is for fine food at a reasonable price. They offer a short but interesting wine list (half price on Saturday's!) The lower level is a casual pub food tavern, very welcoming with good... More

Walked in expecting a typical bar experience. Found out most food is made from scratch. Parents had homemade split pea soup. I had pork schnitzel with roasted potatoes and excellent red cabbage. All rated so good and fresh. Followed by a lemon meringue pie that was so good (chef Jeff makes a wonderfully flaky crust). Going back to check out... More

It's okay. From my visit it always smells like a bar with old beer spilled on the floor from years past. Food quality is good small portions but pricey. Great location as there across the lake from Pike Lake State Park. Boaters, kayakers , canoeists come to this restaurant for lunch. Good parking handicap access at lower level is much... More

Expected the same pub food and fish fry we've gotten there in the past. Instead we were surprised and delighted to find a menu including a number of very interesting entrees. I ordered crispy salmon with saffron rice with the seafood chowder to start. The chowder was unbelievably good and the bread we were offered was clearly home made. I... More
