The Honey Bear has the best Friday fish fry - go early or be prepared to wait - either way it's worth it. This place has been around for ever it seems - the food is always great. It's located on Hwy 70 West of Eagle River towards St Germain.

Portions are often very generous! We like that they offer some really good low-carb entrees. The soups are all homemade and yummy! The best Bloody Mary in Vilas County, Wisconsin, and maybe the whole state!

Definitely need to make this stop if checking out the local establishments. We were visiting for the weekend. We ordered up the best Bloody Marys ever!! Bartender and locals were very friendly and made us feel at home.

When in the "Northwoods" you don't expect much from a restaurant but this little place delivered some great local fish. Always stay with what they do best and this time it was the baby pike. It was delicious. Service was spotty and wine was served from bottles usually found on an airplane. Local beer is available. Try "Spotted Cow" from... More

We were told of this place as a great place for dinner. We were not disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had more fish than we could eat. We will have leftovers for lunch today. We will go there again next time we are at our cottage.

I compare every other fish fry to this one, and nothing else comes close. The perfect fish fry; great fish, crunchy cole slaw, marble rye bread. Enjoy with a Bloody Mary! Worth the wait.

I didn't use to eat fish until I tried a fish fry at the honey bear! It is clean white fish and amazing! Get the cod. It is worth the wait. On Fridays you will wait an hour or more. They also have large filling bloody Mary's! We go there every time we are in town!

My wife and I stopped here on a rare night out due to caring for my elderly mother, because of the high rating on tripadvisor. It was a Wednesday night and the place was busy. Unfriendly hostess that was doubling as a waitress, took our name and told us to have a seat at the bar. The bartender that was... More

Did you change your burgers? They always were so juicy and delicious. Last two times they seemed smaller and overcooked. If you are trying a new supplier PLEASE go back to the old one. Something changed.

The staff is just surly. Go somewhere friendly instead. We stopped in by boat and were greeted at the front door by a really rude hostess. It was obvious they would really prefer us to just go somewhere else. Then we had the audacity to ask if we could eat outside. Can we take the food to go and just... More
