Great soup selections, and lunch specials. I had the Roasted Cauliflower Bisque Was absolutely the best soup I have had in years, also had the chicken sandwich special, which included a choice of soup, and a great apple, raisin coleslaw, with sun chips. Really a super lunch, followed by a wonderful choice of pies and a special of the day.... More

Stopped here for a new adventure. Omg! The best soups we have ever eaten! They change daily, so many choices too! I had the spinach artichoke and chicken, my husband had the roasted cauliflower bisque. My husband said that he will now be going there for s bowl of soup and a piece of homemade pie whenever he is in... More

Its on my list to stop and have a meal every time I get to Baraboo. Home made pies, delicous milk shakes made the old fashioned way and served in a tall stainless, shiny vessel. Soups were like nothing I ever had before, full of veggies, noodles and barly with thick broth. Garden fresh salad with ryr bread croutons MMmmm... More

Right downtown Baraboo and open until approx. 3pm (?) on Saturdays. We had never been but EVERYTHING ordered at the group table was delicious! Great service and neat historical feel to the restaurant. We will definitely be stopping in again the next time we are in the area.

Very charming restaurant that makes you go back in time. All booth are original from 1930s. Things were made differently back than and they last a long time while still looking good. Service is always very pleasant and they make sure that you are happy. Portions are good size, you won’t leave hungry. Perfect place for locals and visitors like... More

This is one of those gems from the past that used to dot the USA from coast to coast. Its well worth a side trip from the highway to get great home style cooked food. I know that when I'm in the area again I will.

Nice little hometown restaurant. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good-sized portions of great tasting food. One of our favorite places to go for breakfast.

This vintage cafe has a great cafe menu; food was terrific--turkey club and reuben sandwiches. Desserts looked homemade, but we were stuffed. Portions are more than ample.

This is a real nice local restaurant. I have been coming here off and on for 30 years, and seem to appreciate this place more each time. Friendly service, very good food, nice pleasant atmosphere, and good location right downtown Baraboo. The bisquits and gravy are some of the best I have ever had... plentiful, spicy, and tasty.
