We recently attended the New Year's Eve celebration. While the Murder Mystery was probably a lot of fun for most of the people, it's just not my thing. So I won't judge it based on that. Everyone else seemed to love it. This was our second trip to the McFarland House, and I have to say the food was EXCELLENT...........if... More

This is a great night out of discovering the pure joy of great food prepared by a passionate, enthusiastic chef that connects with every guest and has great fun talking about what he prepared, how he prepared it and guaranteeing you will love each course as much as he loved making it for you. My only critique is that it... More

So much fun! The themed cocktails were very tasty. The skit and audience involvement made this a really fun event in Martinsburg. I will certainly go back! People at our table said the themed date night meal is better than what we had on this night, but with good cocktails, and so much laughing, I forgot all about the food!... More

My husband & I have been to a few of the Date Night events, some of our best meals ever. Also have enjoyed 2 paint nights, with never painting before I was so impressed with our art work, such a fun experience. Attended a Cake Showcase event, watched the cakes be decorated, also saw a sugar sculpture be made, then... More

A long time friend son's wedding and reception done here. Entrance to the home is beautifully done. All antiques and property kept in great shape. They reserved the entire house for the day and the owners treated everyone nicely. The decorations, food, music, atmosphere were great. I would advise anyone who could have the opportunity to use this venue for... More

I was vaguely aware of the McFarland House as an event place but had never been there until August when I attended an event there. That is when I learned about all the wonderful things Chef Brad Spates has introduced and The Dining Club. I have now attended 2 Date Nights and a Chef's Table. I can't say enough about... More

It's true that the food is often excellent, well-served and in an inviting atmosphere, but that is not all. It is more like visiting friends, friends who live in an expansive, beautiful house. The owners are generous with the community and oversee countless fundraisers as well as weddings, and all sorts of family and social events. I go to a... More

McFarland house has become a go to place for benefits & weddings. The decor is impeccable as well as authentic. The wife & I have been there for about 5 charity events this year. They have a great kitchen. Friendly down to earth staff & accommodating management.
