Nice place, great TVs to watch football, good service, but they just can never seem to get the whole deal together. Lots of different beer selections, but make sure you get what you order. I got a saison when I ordered an IPA, and I just thought it was really lousy. However, I noticed it was exactly the same color... More

Blackwater is now Barrels Brewhouse. Beer is just okay and definitely not worth the $20/flight surprise price tag. No prices listed anywhere. Go down the street to Mountain State for $4/flight beers and friendly local service. Or to the Purple Fiddle or Stumptown. Or anywhere else in town. Service was poor and server had a very condescending attitude.

We stopped in here for a quick bite and a couple of beers. The beers were great! We also tried the chili and fried pickle chips. The pickles were very well done and served with a nice horseradish sauce. The chili was tasty but a little too chunky for us. All in all, a very good place to stop by... More

Stayed close by and stopped in to sample the beer. The owner was very friendly along with the staff. We sample five different beers and had some appetizers. The food was also very good.

Stopped in after our trip to Blackwater Falls. Was their second day opened. Great local brews and food. The atmosphere was also warm and welcoming.

The atmosphere is cozy with the large fireplace burning. Love this place. They have seasonal beers and the barbecue aroma fills the air.

Had visited 2 years ago and had wonderful German food so we came back for that. Menu is now very small: a few appetizers, burgers, sandwiches... Had a burger with peanut butter and hot pepper jelly that was very tasty. The beer is brewed there and is very good. But we missed the delicious German food we had last time.

We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and it was not very busy. The bartender was friendly and very helpful in describing the offerings. The beer choices were European style and not the hoppy IPAs that are currently so popular. We had a kolsch and a golden ale which were both delicious. Definitely worth a stop.

Great locally brewed beers. Some different types you don't see at many micro breweries. Had BBQ the day we were there.

Nice, large tap room. They're in the process of some renovations, but nothing that interfered with the atmosphere. The bar was full when we entered, so we grabbed an English pale ale and kolsch. Both were very true to the original, including the proper glassware for each. We t took a seat in the back liVing room set up. Very... More
