The food and vibe are totally worth experiencing. It's fun to be surrounded by original art and live music. The seating is not especially comfortable but you can ignore that once your delicious food arrives. Original combinations of fresh ingredients doesn't disappoint. The menu has...More

Went on a Saturday and had brunch. Everything was so good and I've been craving it since. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and jelly. So fresh and cooked exactly right.

The locals recommended we stop into this little place. My team and I stopped for a late lunch and its charming furniture and wait staff welcomed us. Food was great and while I didnt have their famous pies...my co-workers did and left clean plates!

My husband and I came in for lunch after helping some family move. Granted, we weren't dressed in Black Ties, but not homeless looking, either. We were met with an icy reception by the wait staff. The selection on the menu, even for lunch, was...More

I like to have a meal characteristic of the city when I travel, and Bluegrass Kitchen fits Charleston nicely: relaxed atmosphere, hardworking food. Lisa is the kind of professional waitress who makes an evening hum, and she made helpful recommendations. The perfectly prepared trout and...More

Charleston's authentic farm-to-table made-from-scratch modern comfort food restaurant. With a legion of chefs who caringly practice the art of food, BgK offers delicious brunch, dinner, and desserts for hungry vegetarians, meat connoisseurs, and everyone in-between. In the circa 1920 building with pressed tin ceilings and exposed architecture, Bluegrass also serves as a gallery for local artists. In the Tap room there's live original acoustic music most nights, with finely crafted cocktails, a curated wine list & a bounty of beers. Close to West Virginia's beautiful capitol grounds the family-owned and operated Bluegrass Kitchen has been featured in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal as well as Bon Appetit, Garden & Gun, Taste of the South magazines and many more.
