Duke's is a local chain of several seafood restaurants in the Seattle/Tacoma area featuring their famous chowders. The restaurant is over the water on the Bay along Ruston Way. Great food & drink in a fabulous setting. Scenic view from inside or out on the deck during warmer weather. Traffic and parking can get challenging when the weather is nice... More

My sons and I came for lunch. One had the 2-flight of chowders. The portions were TINY! Maybe 4 oz of chowder for $8? I had the Crab Bisque - it was wine heavy. The waitress was great, the view to die for, but it was way over-priced.

It was a dark and rainy night as we were returning home from SeaTac--in April! Some friends had told us about a seafood restaurant along Ruston Way (there are many), so we thought we'd stop in. But when we arrived at the restaurant at 9 pm, we found out it was closed. We were hungry for seafood, so we were... More

Our group of four chose this waterfront restaurant because we wanted a good meal by the water, and we were so pleased with our choice. Duke's has several restaurants in the Seattle/Tacoma area; this one is in a rather new building right on the Sound. The service could not have been any better; our server, Walter, was friendly, helpful, and... More

We had a fantastic experience from the minute we walked into this restaurant. The sourdough bread was for starters the best I've had, and the salmon sliders and Dungeness crab cake were fresh and delicious. Save room for the marionberry pie a la mode!

Beautiful spring evening, decided to try a seafood place while in Tacoma. Long wait but it was Friday night. Tried both seafood and chicken corn chowder. Both very tasty. We had to wait for some of the fresh sourdough bread, which we definitely missed with our soup, but once we got it, it was delicious side to the chowder. Enjoyed... More

Seated quickly, nice waterfront view. Large, noisy bar separated from dining tables by a rope, so pretty noisy for diners. Food is expensive, good variety, very small portions. Tried 3 different varieties of their chowder (including original) and was not a fan of any of them. Disappointing birthday meal...

The chowder is the best I've ever had, but it is the most expensive that I've ever had. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for.
